On the "news" side of CNN, they should run this tape every 30 minutes or so. It is well worth the effort to catch it to see an example of the left wing media being far more concerned with the revisionist emotional picture they can present for today's lefties than they are about basic factual accuracy. Maybe some of the failed NYT folks have moved to CNN.

My dad helped design the ball turret on the B-29, or at least that's what he thinks. I'll have to tell him that despite his Nuclear Clearance that should have given him the real scoop (nuclear clearance was a big deal in those days), he was just mislead by the "big coverup," it was really the B-52 that he was working on.

a B-52 dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki Man, the old bird is even older than I thought! But then I just took a test, and I came out "older than dirt" myself. And I'm currently working on a B-52 project! (However even I wasn't around in 1945!) :)

Nonsense! The B-52s would never play Nagasaki. The venue there is way too small. They would rather play the Tokyo Auditorium, where they would be warmed up by Hanoi Rocks.

The U.S. Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, includes the gleaming silvery fuselage of a
Maj. Charles Sweeney was the pilot of the B-29. Known as Bock's Car, the plane that carried the A-bomb dropped on Nagasaki. Nearby is a full-scale mockup of the
plutonium bomb known as Fat Man.
Col. Paul W. Tibbets, Jr. pilot of the Enola Gay B-29, which dropped the A-bomb over Hiroshima, has been restored and is to go on display late this year, when the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, an annex of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, opens near the Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C.

By accident, I stopped on CNN just as they were doing a story on the anniversary of the successful peace action at Nagasaki in 1945. They showed some older Japanese people as the female announcer, in a voice deep and wet with concern, told about today's moment of silence at 11:02 in commeration of the time in 1945 when "a B-52 dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki.Yes. It's true.
The crew was interrupted from the local area network game of Quake II they were playing, when they recieved the order on Instant Messenger in Yahoo (it was customary at the time to set your PDA and computer to get Yahoo IM during time of war). They all donned their Nike sneakers, syncronized their Swatch digital watches, quickly sent some emails to loved ones, and jumped aboard the B-52.
Conclusion: CNN is populated largely by gibbering baboons.

If CNN were more interested in presenting facts than leftist propaganda, mistakes like this would never happen.
But this is Ted Turner's baby isn't it?

You're all wrong...I have it on good authority from a certain current California gubernatorial candidate that is was Skynet (experts in time travel) that sent the B-52 back in time. It is correct that the awesome Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson were the pilots but they were naked.

Sure, and it was ordered to be dropped by Republican Harry Truman. Look, it's not the facts that matter, it's how the story MAKES YOU FEEL, isn't it?
