RECALL SUPPORTERS ATTACKED IN SACRAMENTO
PROTEST AT TAXPAYER-FUNDED ANTI-RECALL WORKSHOP TURNS VIOLENT - DAVIS THUGS ATTACK RECALL SUPPORTERS
ATTACK CAUGHT BY FOX NEWS CHANNEL CREW
Charges To Be Filed as Recall Supporters Rushed to Emergency Room
(SACRAMENTO) Recall Gray Davis supporters were violently attacked a little more than one hour ago by Gray Davis supporters. Those who were assaulted have been taken to a local hospital emergency room in Sacramento.
A protest was underway against taxpayer-funded Workers Against the Recall workshops that were being led by a coalition of labor union organizations including the publicly-funded University of California Institute for Labor and Employment (UC ILE). The UC ILE received $4,000,000 of taxpayers money in the budget signed by Governor Davis one week ago (Saturday).
Protestors were across the street from the event marching peacefully when Davis supporters rushed across J Street in Downtown Sacramento and began beating recall supporters. Davis thugs also attempted to steal and destroy YES on RECALL signs from recall supporters.
Gray Davis anti-recall campaign continues to stoop to new levels. The use of taxpayer money to fight the peoples recall campaign is revolting. The use of violence and physical attacks against recall supporters is disgusting and reprehensible. We call on Governor Davis to save any last shred of decency he has and condemn the use of violence against innocent citizens, declared Recall Gray Davis spokesman, Joe Wierzbicki who was present at the protest.

NOw Arnold has a retort for the charge that he is related to a member of the Nazi party.
"Well, at least I don't have a bunch of brownshirts beating up the Democrats."
I would just identify these thugs, and take care of them one at a time.

While my gut reaction is to get some payback, it's imperative that no one in the conservative camp be seen as instigators of violence in any future event. While being vigilant and protective of fellow protestors is a must, being seen as anything other than peaceful (albeit LOUD :D) protestors would harm our image. I'm not saying that opening up a can of whoop ass isn't necessary when attacked, just that it be clear that our protestors are never to be blamed for instigating violence in these cases.

Paul A,
That is one of the most accurate posts I have ever seen posted. I'm adding your quote to my homepage.
It is too bad the "liberals" don't realize what they really are.
They are really going ape-sh*t with this California recall.
Big BUMP! Bilbo

Anyone found any news links yet?

I was seriously hoping we could start a recall on broken promises and lies concerning Blago. Does not surprise me we could get another '68 here now.

All I can say is thank god union member numbers have been going down for the last 20 or so years. The way the RATS are riled up lately the party conventions next year are going to be exciting to watch.

Yes, I saw the shocking footage, but I forgot about it because of everything else going on, with the announcement that one of the Democrats dropped out. It is shocking that this has happened. Who are these guys, the brown-shirts? We better not let this go.
To: Joe Hadenuf
I am so proud that I was given an opportunity to sign that recall, and that I was able to "give it" to Davis.
To: Impeach98
You are telling the truth, it looked like a violent assault. The Clinton people are always in such denial about everything. It's part of their sickness. This should be expected.

I agree. Close up face shots are good. I'm sure these tough boys would cower if they knew their faces would be on TV.

"Davis is doomed, no matter how many thugs he pays to show up at these events."
Beating up innocent people was probably Bubba Clinton's advice. I believe he's done it before.

"Do you recall when Hillary drove through a checkpoint at an airport full bore? The press didn't cover that story for long. DNC, the pushy party."
Remember, if Hitlery decides to run, the absolute worst boss or person you ever came in contact with.

1% of my paycheck out here in Calif., goes to the teacher's Union.
Half of that money is used for "political" purposes.
Is it any wonder that the dems push for more & more taxes?
A "cut" of any tax INcrease goes DIRECTLY into the Democrat coffers.
And who pays for it? Taxpayers -- many of whom are AGAINST public-sectore Unions (would prefer privatization of the services, instead!), or are AGAINST the politics they support.
The whole system is criminal & immoral. It is anti-freedom, and equals fiscal slavery for the benefit of Union thugs & Dems at the expense of Repub taxpayers/voters.
How we reached a point of such leniency with Union economic thuggery I'll never know. The Beck Act & other legislation seems to have had no teeth in constraining union's economic coercion. If anything, Unions have become MORE coercive, not more voluntary, in their ec. power over the years.
People who offer kind words about Unions and say "as long as they're voluntary there is no problem with them" - don't understand the fiscal coercion involved -- and the direct benefit to the Dem party of large public-sector unions. These institutions are NOT voluntary or defined by smiley-faces of charity and good feelings; they are explicitly coercive - both to taxpayers & to their membership w.r.t. their annual Dues.
I HAVE to pay my union dues, or else I DON'T WORK -- even though I believe 'collective' bargaining is immoral & for communists.
Sure I'm a teacher, but I'm not "Labor" -- I consider myself a small businesswoman, and... entrepreneur.
We need to get rid of U.S. Unions - maybe send them all to Cuba.
