Judging by the way Arnold has conducted his life, he seems like a pretty decent guy. Yeah, a pretty decent guy that likes his babies D-E-A-D and his fellow citizens disarmed, unless of course you're an rich elitist that can afford to buy security for yourself and your Kennedy-ho spouse.
Can you point out how you've determined that he's a fiscal conservative? Every other word out of his mouth is "prooogams".

Sorry. :o)
What the Republican Party in this state is deperately crying out for is a LEADER.
It has been so long since I have seen ANYONE in this state with what it takes to win, that perhaps I am grasping at straws. :(

What Arnold doesn't understand is that he doesn't have to go around shaking everyone's hands. He is not "The average Joe" I don't want the average Joe, I want the TERMINATOR to go into Sacramento and do what needs to be done. I want someone larger than life. I hope he doesn't waste too much time pretending to be your average, ordinary guy.

What's wrong with after school programs if they're run right. Please do research on Prop 49, it did not raise any taxes, only took from money that was already there and would not kick in until the economy was better. It was a very well written proposal that was endorsed boy Howard Jarvis, THE premier taxpayer spokesperson. Please vote for Arnold. He's the only Republican who can win.

Plus you have that woman on MSNBC last night claiming he said he does not like all these "brownies" moving into the state. He was probably referring to Boxer and Pelosi.

Do you really think McClintock could win? Is he powerful enough to get moderate Republicans and Conservative Dems off their asses to go vote? The answer is a resounding NO. McClintock will rise through the ranks to greatness some day, but not on October 7th. Please reconsider. What has Arnold even said yet that you so disagree with? And please don't tell me abortion.

The bottom line is that California is no longer the State we grew up in as children-the California of mostly white conservative to moderate politics, intact families and stable schools. The demographics have changed drastically with the huge influx of Latinos and the millions of liberal whites who flocked here in the Sixties and Seventies with the counterculture and Gay Liberation hype of those times.
The California of old is"gone with the wind".

SchwarzenShriver's strength as a candidate basically boils down to "uninformed people seem to like him."
On the downside, he's a liberal, wrong on almost every issue, he's married to a Kennedy, and he's got a sleazy personal life.
Sorry, no.

In broad terms, Schwarzenegger, who declined to be interviewed for this article, has long described himself as a fiscal conservative with moderate views on social issues, a standard Republican formula for victory in a Democratic-leaning state like California. LINK
And no one can deny he is a successful individual. He manages his business better than we manage ours.

OK.. How about if we compromise on this one 8-? LOL

Add: Bill Jones is a wonderful conservative, and he lost before he lost.
To: doc
He should be concentrating on the roots of poverty and abused children, to start how about single parenthood.Well, at the event yesterday I heard him applaud the participants, and exhort them to continue, in their studies. He specified doing well in English and math. I would submit that getting a good education would be addressing one of the roots of poverty.

No argument, FRiend. Except that, once in office, sometimes good folks blossom. I have that feeling about Simon. OK, so it's a FEELING. :O)

The question for YOU is, what will you do when Bustamante wins the recall - due in no small part to the shortsightedness of "purists" like yourself?
Flip side:
The question for YOU is, what will you do when Bustamante wins the recall - due in no small part to the shortsightedness of "purists" "realists" like yourself?
Can we just do away the fallacies, yet?
I've done paid my "team player" dues and voted for a lot of loser RINO wimps in California (Lungren, Fong, Huffington, Campbell), so I'm not going to ignore my conscience when a candidate as good as McClintock comes along.

Bill Jones is a wonderful conservative, and he lost before he lost.
Bill Jones lost because of Bush and Rove's political payback for Jones' endorsement of McCain in 2000. That's why they came up with the bright idea of annointing another anti-gun, pro-homosexual, pro-Illegal, pro-abortion liberal, Dick Riordan.
I didn't vote for Riordan, and I won't vote for Arnold.
