Esquire killed Jayson Blair's first writing assignment since The New York Times scandal because Blair's notoriety is old news, the magazine said yesterday. Blair, 27, was hired by Esquire to write a review of a movie based on "Shattered Glass," a story by another disgraced journalist, Stephen Glass.

After word of Blair's assignment leaked last month, Esquire lost interest. "All the news reports took away that element of surprise," Granger said. Why doesn't this Esquire guy tell the truth? He got lotsa negative input -- including many thumbs-down from Freepers -- for his stupidity in trying the old liberal scam of resurrecting con-man Blair to write about con-man journo Glass.

There would be no "element of surprise", but it would be a better joke to have Blair write about the so-called "journalists" of the "mainstream newsmedia". Those con-artists are bigtime.

Esquire will pay him anyway, so he won't be too bothered. In fact, given how lazy he is, he'll be delighted not to have to write the review.

"Blair was said to be receiving fees of about $5,000 with the money going to charity..."
I'll be surprised if any charity ever sees this money.

I'm quite sure that Blair thinks he qualifies for the "charity".

Do you really think Esquire pays any attention to Freepers?
To: FreedomNotSafety
Some FReepers received emails from Granger himself. Does that answer your question?
