And people in America claim the Ultimate Fighting Championship is too violent . . .

He might actually win, just because he's aware of this:

A fighter's mind is his best weapon.

"German to take part in fight with no rules"

At first I thought this was another Schwarzenegger thread, until I remembered he's Austrian.

Here is your chance to avenge the murder of your master, the destruction of your school, the humiliation of your sisters, the honor of your family, the theft of your ancestral lands, and the making of all of those pathetic Dam Jean Claude Van movies .

(Sorry, I have a dentist appointment....)

Well, that does it for me.
You win.

Reminds me of a mid-90s kickboxing movie starring Sasha Mitchell. The two guys dip their boxing gloves into tar or some other substance, and then into a bucket of glass shards. Then they go at it...

...training up to 11 hours a day with two Shaolin monks, foregoing sex and not drinking.

Naah, it just seems like 11 hours a day.

The sport, known as Sanda, is a mix of judo, karate, boxing and kung-fu and there are no rules.

Including no rules on caliber? What about auto v. semi-auto? I understand of course no bayonets.

German to take part in fight with no rules

This has got to be a bogus story.

Germans don't participate in anything unless there are extensive rules and order.

Some Sanda Rules
-from http://www.terra.es/personal/ealpan/articles/sanda.htm

"Grabs and take-downs must be performed within two seconds.
Traditional Wushu techniques such as pressure points attacks can not be performed due to the use of boxing gloves.
You may not hit your opponent head more than twice with the same technique.
The fight does not continue on the ground..."

Sanda rules looks a lot more restrictive than the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and far less brutal than boxing (just pound 'em in the head).

Oh, and this is my first post here ever. Howdy!
