Hacker accesses customer information from database manager Acxiom

A computer hacker gained access to private files at Acxiom Corp., one of the world's largest consumer database companies, and was able to download sensitive information about some customers of the company's clients, the company said Thursday.

"The data on the servers was a wide variety of information, some of which was personal, some of which was not," Jennifer Barrett, the company's chief privacy officer, said in an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday. The AP was notified of the intrusion by an anonymous caller who would not identify himself or his connection with the company.

I can only hope that the hacker uploaded specific data of publicly elected officials to the usenet before arrest.

A little taste of "TIA" would be a good thing for them...

while the person had legitimate access to Acxiom servers.

Can you read that, LIGITIMATE ACCESS. nO HARM ,,NO FOUL...THEY just need to make the Federal people drop the charges...they sure don't need the publicity it will get on NBC, CBS ABC, FOX, CNN et. A millon $ in BAD publicity!!Just drop it.

nO HARM ,,NO FOUL ESPECIALLY since one article mentions he had the data in his computor for eight months, and Axiom didn't even realize it. That does NOT sound so good for Axiom. The dumb guy prolly was going to delete it but kept forgetting, and got too busy and forgot.
