Leftists Demonstration Plans - Office of Tom Delay (8 August 2003)
E-mail | 7 August 2003 | PetroniDE

Posted on 08/07/2003 6:36:05 AM PDT by PetroniDE

Here is the message received in unedited form.

This message is posted so that people can inform the office of Tom Delay and if possible counter-protest these leftists.
------------------------------------------------------

I'm forwarding a message from the Harris County Young Democrat President, Rick Brennan.
Miah, Not In Our Name

Hello all,

The HC Democratic Party-with help from Reps Rick Noriega and Garnet Coleman-are planning a protest in front of Tom Delay's office. Pick any issue and you can see why he is rip for protest. In any event, the Party would like to invite your respective groups to participate-if you would like.

The protest will take place on Friday, AUG 8, from noon until 2PM-in front of Tom Delay's office. The address is 10701 Corporate Drive, Suite 118. The office phone number is 281 240 3700, if you need it.

The media is aware already of the event and drinks will be provided by the Party. We do need people and creative signs. For more information, contact Damon Williams in Rep Coleman's office at 281 250 9848.

It is rare all of our groups can work together, but this may be one of those times. Please consider it and I hope we can do this together.

Thanks for your time.

Rick Brennan, President
HC Young Dems

Once again, they plan protests during office hours so it is impossible for most of us (myself included) to counter-protest.

I suspect this is mostly about the redistricting issue, but the tone of the message indicates, "just protest him because he is one of them".

Hopefully, the office of Tom Delay will get a "heads-up" on the leftist plans.

Purple punch?

I didn't see that on the first read. Perhaps Kool-Aid?

Oh, so these geniuses don't really have a particular issue they want to focus on. Just protesting is enough.

Of course, the Houston Chronicle can be counted on to cover this extensively, given their obsession with bashing DeLay.

Suspect the redistricting issue is driving this.

Did notice that message tone was "just protest him because he is evil". Must be the free drinks.

The protest is not in DC, it is here in Houston, TX. Belly-girl is still welcome to visit us, LOL.

I believe that is in Stafford. I bet the Stafford police won't have a lot of patience for any nonsense.

Might also be Sugar Land as it is 2 1/2 blocks east of Sugar Land City Hall. I am not sure where that line is but you exit 59 South just outside the tollway @ Corporate Drive and turn right off the frontage road just past Sterling Bank. It will be one block down on the left.

Do not believe for one minute that Armbrister would have stayed if they had needed him. He is in a Republican district and they didn't want to make him a target.

I believe that is in Sugar Land, but HC you are the expert on Ft. Bend geography.

I can't make this event. Unlike the protestors, must remain gainfully employed.
