Darn! The two Cincinnati slimeballs--Springer and Flynt--running for office at the same time! The entertainment value would have been priceless!
To: My2Cents
Nah, he's decided to become an Episcopal priest.
To: Charles Henrickson
I'm just hoping that Larry Flynt will proposition ZsaZsa Huffington during a debate.

The "slack-jawed yokels, hicks, weirdos, pervs, and whatnot" that Jonah Goldberg described must be mighty disappointed.
To: areafiftyone
He won't run because he was caught in a massage parlor.
To: Paul Atreides
Now why did you have to go and post that picture of Henry Waxman! (OINK!)

Saw his statement live. Said he couldn't run effectively unless he separated himself from the show. Since that hasn't happened, he can't run. Thanks all the unions, local democrat groups for welcoming him and listening. Says that Ohio doesn't have enough democrats unless you atract those who aren't interested in politics, which he thought he coud do.
Now the question is this: did his company refuse to let him out of his contract OR did the Rats say "thanks but no thanks?"
To: Miss Marple
This whole stunt has been about ratings.

Too bad, the thought of him being "smacked" around was inviting.

Now the question is this: did his company refuse to let him out of his contract OR did the Rats say "thanks but no thanks?" That's a very good question.
I imagine any savvy Dem. strategist would see Springer as a major potential liability.
To: Miss Marple
I think he owns the whole ball of wax. He's worth like $400M or something. He said earlier that he also considered the number of people who would be laid off at the end of this season should he run. So, Fingerhut it is, I guess.

I know and all the Hoochie Mamas were waiting in full dress uniform!

Springer and Flynt, further proof Cincinnati is the hellmouth.
Springer's whole thing was just about ratings. His rant about Ohio needing more Rats is bunk, considering the northeast part of the state is solid Rat (Cleveland, Youngstown) and the top politicians in office tend to run the RINO route.
To: areafiftyone
He said that a democrat couldn't win in ohio either.
To: areafiftyone
Awwwww, shoot... woulda been a riot ;-)
