The prosecutor in the Kobe Bryant rape case says he has slam-dunk evidence to prove the NBA superstar's guilt, it was revealed on the eve of the hoopster's first court appearance today. My local radio here in OK is claiming that the DA said those exact words for what it is worth! From the way I read the story, the DA made that claim in the court papers. It is my underline and my quotes in the referenced paragraph.

Reread the snippet you posted. The words in quotation marks were "strong case". The words "slam dunk" were not in quotation marks. Doesn't that strike you as significant? It looks to me as if the only words in that snippet directly attributed to the DA are "strong case".
