The prosecutor in the Kobe Bryant rape case says he has slam-dunk evidence to prove the NBA superstar's guilt, it was revealed on the eve of the hoopster's first court appearance today. Eagle County District Attorney Mark Hurlbert made that strong claim in court papers arguing against making public the police affidavit written to justify Bryant's arrest early last month.

Whenever a prosecutor has to begin trying the case before
he is at trial, his weak hand begins to show.

He is now campaigning for his weak evidence to stand up,
I am now leary of this whole scenario.

Well, since I've seen the courtroom close up, I don't have that kind of faith at all; the assertion that the DA wouldn't go forward without solid evidence is just laughable. It happens all the time.

And now we have this accusation FROM THE ACCUSER that Kobe held her in his room against her will; for all we know, all he said was "Don't go right now" and stepped in front of the door. Everything is WAY out of proportion.

IMO, the DA has been trying to shore up his case since the sheriff jumped the gun with an early arrest.

There are lots of people with major "issues" that are going to jump on this particular train. NOW, jilted first wives, heck any woman who doesn't like men, insecure women dying to pummel a man, any man, losers from high school acting like they really were somebody.......in other words, the dregs of life.

That doesn't mean there wasn't a rape.

Howlin, do you ever wonder why you get in so many flame wars. Dolphy makes an intellectual point in a very mild manner and you say it's "laughable". Do you have any concept of tact?

with a forensic expert, a procedural question, and
will ask why her so called bellhop friend did not take
her to the hospital, or at least report it to the
house detective or security services.

You are right; In fact, I feel guilty when I think that the rapist who preyed on my loved one is still out there. I have no doubt he will do it again. However, she could not withstand a trial- emotionally.
