Exactly! However, males get out of tickets by being polite, too. What people forget is that cops are human. So many people automatically get rude and defensive when they're stopped. Oftentimes such stops are because the officer is just concerned and intended to issue only a warning.

Smile. Be nice. And chances are you're the first nice, smiling person the cop's seen his entire shift. Think about it. ;)
