Nothing on the Episcopal News Service, AP, etc. My guess is the Bishops are making final statements before the votes are taken.

Don't know, but they are teasing it for the 11 o'clock news. The anchor says "will he be confirmed" and hubby and I say "God, we hope not". This has gone on throughout Jeopardy.

They voted and decided that the Destruction of the Episcopal Church was deemed more important than the teachings of the Bible. So hello to our first Gay Bishop and his "Wife".
The Liberal and Gay Agenda march on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ping me if any of you hear. I am a former Episcopalian. The church left me a long time ago, but this is still a sad day.

Too late now to get in a resolution. The "Blessing of the Lemmings" will have to wait till 2006.

I am sure there will be a lot of sore rear ends tomorrow morning after the sodomites celebrate this travesty tonight.

Fox announced around 7:00 that the voting had begun, would last 60 minutes and the results should be in within the hour!
I too am a former Episcopalian... a former priest in ECUSA and though I left years ago this is indeed a sad sad day for the whole of the Church... and for our culture. What a terrible and destructive message is being sent to those who need the redeeming love of Jesus Christ.

I was listening to Rush today. He was hopelessly ignorant about the facts. He wanted to make a point about Clarence Thomas, but it would have helped him to know the facts first.
I saw the same floundering on Fox News. They were so flustered that one newsman announced the bishop-to-be had a "13 year old," implying a pedophile relationship, instead of saying it was a 13 year relationship. Fox kept calling the man a Catholic bishop.
I believe the main issues are:
1. He left his wife and children, divorced, and moved in with his homosexual lover.
2. He founded Outright, whose website linked to Three Pillows. I have not done much reading on Outright, but it is clearly a great way for homosexual men to recruit homosexual boys or those "questioning" their leanings.
In an earlier age this man would have been ejected from the ministry as a cad, pervert, and poltroon, a fisher of boys instead of a fisher of men. But how we have the relatively conservative Jay Leno appearing on the queer fashion show, so this bishop is a martyr, a victim, an innocent demanding justice.

our first Gay Bishop and his "Wife".
Good point - - - which one is the husband and which one is the wife? Why do you assume the bishop-to-be is the husband?

a fisher of boys instead of a fisher of men.
There's a great sound bite.

The downward spiral.

A truly sad day....Satan welcomed with open arms into a Christian church. Of course, most churches are no longer much more than a "community activities center." Kick out the Boy Scouts and bring in the perverts!

What a terrible and destructive message is being sent to those who need the redeeming love of Jesus Christ. Amen. As a lifelong member, I've had this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach for several days -- the Church I love being destroyed by unbelievers.
Been perched on the gunwale of the sinking ECUSA boat for some time. Looking to leap to a traditional and conservative Anglican community, but where? Christ the King, Anglican Use, REC/APA, Anglican Catholic Church? Wait for the schism and see who the Worldwide Anglican Communion recognizes?
Insight and advice welcome.

I saw that. Did he adopt this name after "coming out" ? I've never heard of a man named Vicki - - - unless it's a nickname for Victor, but in that case wouldn't it be "Vic"?
