(BARDSTOWN, Ky., August 4th, 2003, 4:30 pm) -- The massive wooden structure was ablaze and firefighters were focused on three nearby warehouses, said Bardstown City Administrator Larry Green.

"Only one of them is on fire and they're working to make sure that it stays that way and to contain the burning whisky that's coming out of that warehouse," Green said

Damn! I'm a confirmed Jim Beam drinker. It is my absolute favorite spirit. And I'm down to my last two 1.75 liter bottles. I'd better stock up tonight.

You can't get 200 proof that is drinkable. Ethanol forms an azeotrope with water that boils off at 78.15 degrees. Pure ethanol has a boiling point of 78.3 degrees C. The azeotrope is 95% ethanol/5% water...190 proof. To get 100% ethanol, you add benzene to carry off the water, but that makes it unfit for consumption.

Ummm, yummy...

190 proof in a 750ml bottle

The prettiest girl
I ever saw
was sipping bourbon
through a straw
I walked right up
I sat right down
I ordered up
another round.
I placed my hand
upon her knee
she said GI
your teasing me.
I placed my hand
upon her thigh
she said GI
that's way too high.
I picked her up
I laid her down
her long blond hair
lay all around.
the wedding was
a formal one
her daddy had
a white shotgun.
and now I've got
a mother-in-law
and 14 kids
who call me pa.
The morale of the story is clear
Instead of bourbon
Stick to beer

President Bush:......."Thou hypocrites, first cast out the vodka in thine own cabinet and then thou shall see clearly to cast in the Beam on thy brother's shelf".

(or sumpin' like that).

They used to make Everclear in my home town. Damn place used to blow up all the time. Killed a couple of fireman one of those times, back in the 50s, I think. Everclear moved on, and now they use that factory to make gasohol.

Quick, call Ted Kennedy! He can squelch the flow!

One belch from Teddy would consume all the oxygen and put the fire out.

Have you tried any of Jim Beams Small Batch Bourbon Collection; especially Bookers? The finest bourbon in the world is 20 year old Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve, which goes for $100 a bottle. And the rarest is the 23 year old Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve, of which there are only 3000 bottles and goes for $200 a bottle.
