Could have sworn I heard her say she overtook her on Hannity's radio program, but this shows Ann as upwardly mobile while Hillary is standing still. Hillary was #2 last week and Ann was #6.

she's ahead on sales, but that's not what the Times does to determine that you're a best seller. I think they do a bookstore survey. It's time for books to be counted at point of sale, like cds. This will stop publications like the Times from jerryrigging their list to push their favorite pol of the hour.

I still want to know how much of Hillary's "sales" account for the books that she is giving away as gifts for donations.
To: breakem
I went to my local bookstore. They had Hillary books all over the place. Over 50 of them waiting to be sold (gathering cobwebs). They had several Ann books, but not nearly as many. Hillary is supposed to be ahead in overall sales, but Amazon has had Ann creaming her for a while now, so I find it hard to believe. I know Amazon isn't totally reliable to determine how everyone is selling, but my goodness if NY Times is not going by actual sales.
Besides, Ann is less than kind to the Times in her book (deservedly so), so I wonder if that has something to do with it too. Would the Times distort the facts? All the News that's fit to distort should be their motto.

I heard Ann this week, I think on Hannity radio. She said she was ahead on sales and described how the Times and some other papers do their list. I think it would take a lot of homework to do the actual sales, since there's no central body to coordinate it.

Hillary, around the time of her 1996 book tour...

Whitewater probe focuses on 'vacuum' [CNN]
Republicans raised questions about Mrs. Clinton's use of an Air Force plane to ferry her to Arkansas and then to Michigan, Illinois, New York and Massachusetts to promote her book, "It Takes a Village and Other Lessons Children Teach Us." The White House said the Secret Service recommended the government plane for security reasons and said that her publisher, Simon & Schuster, would reimburse the government for her travel and accommodations."

Sort of off-topic but has anybody read the new Krakauer book that is on the list? If so, is it as good as Into Thin Air and Into the Wild?

I was on base (Patrick AFB) at the BX and they had hillarys book there. There has been the same # of books there since day 1. Now some one put a book called Terrorist right next to and in front of hers. Funny.

Too bad selling books that are non-fiction and you did not write is obviously more important to Hitlery than representing the people.

. . .whatever it takes to make her disappear!
Amazed, really, that her book was even ordered for sale; they could have used the. . ."well, we can order it for you". . .the response I hear the most when I want the good books at Barnes & Noble. . .
(I tell them I can order it myself. . .or "thanks, but I think Border Books has it!)
Maybe they figured it was handy for at least a good dart game. . .
