WACO, Texas (AP) President Bush's doctors pronounced him in excellent health after his annual physical examination Saturday and said a calf strain that had slowed his running regimen has healed. He had several small skin growths treated as a preventive measure, the doctors said after examining Bush for about 3 1/2 hours at the National Naval Medical Center.
Bush chose to have an unspecified number of previously identified nasal telangiectasias cauterized, spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters on Air Force One as Bush flew to his Texas ranch for a monthlong stay.
Telangiectasias are common in people with sun-damaged skin. Bush's spokesman didn't say what caused them.
Bush also had four small lesions removed from his cheeks and arm at the hospital. The potentially cancer-causing skin lesions, a common condition known as actinic keratoses, are caused by exposure to the sun.
The president has resumed his running routine after recovering from a muscle tear in his right calf in April that forced him to give up his seven-minute-mile runs for several months, aides said ahead of the exam.
He has lowered his times to about 7 1/2-minute miles, McClellan said.
"He's still running. He's doing a lot of stretching," the spokesman said.
The summary of the physical declared Bush "in excellent health and fit for duty."
"All data suggests that he will remain so for the duration of his presidency," it said.
Bush has complained recently about aching knees that he attributes to age, aides said.
Presiding over the medical exam were White House physician Richard Tubb and Dr. Kenneth Cooper, the president of the Cooper Aerobics Center. They also directed Bush's two previous two physicals.

I just saw on Fox that he has a resting heart rate of 45 and blood pressure of 110/62. It's good, clean living. Don't recall ever hearing the stats on the sink emperor, LOL!

Another reason why Bush rules.

Don't recall ever hearing the stats on the sink emperor, LOL!Correct. The Stainman NEVER released his medical records. Like everything with the Clintons, they're always hiding something. Thank the Lord that the Hildabeast is keeping the lower half of her body hidden.

Don't recall ever hearing the stats on the sink emperor, LOL!To the best of my knowledge, Clinton's health was generally good, but it was ackward that a lot of things were always kept from the public (doctor/patient privaledge), Bush is the first in a long time, to come completely clean about his health, but for good reason.
Bush is considered in the top 3 percent of the country in regards to his ability to run the mile, and run 10 miles, he is a workout fanatic who annoys the press corp on air force one with his jogging back and forth on long trips and push up and some other excersizes, some liberals have actually decided to critizise him for this, by arguing that he obsesses over his workouts way to much.
Clinton was known to do a brief jog everyday, but rarely used the white house gym, and didn't do much more then his usual jog, Bush is a staple in the gym, and loves lifting weights, and sometimes showing off. In comparison VP wise, Gore used to work out regularly and did a routine, Cheney does have a workout routine that was written up by his doctors for his health and condition.

Bush takes the Navy physical readiness test standards for a 1.5 mile run (at ANY age) and blows them out of the water. *L* My husband, who is 26, has to run 1.5 miles in 13:30 minutes to pass his PRT. A man of Bush's age in the Navy would have to run 1.5 miles in 16:30. I can't speak for the other armed forces' physical standards, but I would imagine they're similiar.

Last year I wrote down the results of Bush's exam to compare it with my own. He's in better shape than I, and here is a comparison between the two years for Bush:
2002: Blood pressure = 118/74; heart rate = 43
2003: Blood pressure = 110/62; heart rate = 45

And now he's coming back to Texas to laugh at the reporters sweat and complain for a month - life is good.
