[history]
August 1, 2003 -- OK, so The Terminator finally terminated his political ambitions. We've all heard how Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to run for governor of California and how he threatened to run and how he actually toyed with a run and how, now, suddenly, he backed out of running to support his friend, former L.A. Mayor Richard Riordan for the job of ousting the incumbent Gov. Gray Davis on the Oct. 7 recall election. Arnold's a Republican, Riordan's a Republican, Davis is Democrat.

Arnold was going to do a book at one time. Story of his life. His PR people nixed it. Sounds like the same thing now.

She knows that stories might creep out of the woodwork and embarrass the kinfolk, the Kennedys, the kiddies. How could anything embarass teh Kennedys?

This is reminiscent of Teddy Kennedy checking with Mommy first before running for President.
I guess in the Kennedy clan the women wear the pants while the men keep theirs down around their ankles.

Maybe someone handier with a computer than I am can post a photo of the beautiful and witty Cindy Adams. There's one at the link page.

Every man takes the advice of his wife to heart. I'm not surprised Arnold's not running if the missus turned thumbs down to the venture.

"Arnold's had some alleged allegations of allegedly bad-boy behavior. She knows the tabloids have heard it."
Interesting and it makes me remember a story one of my friends told me about 6 years ago..she was out one night with several girlfriends in a restaurant in LA and Arnold started hitting on a couple of them, he requested a certain "service" that was WAY weird and not just a little gross.....

Nah. This was all planned from the begining. He had a flagging movie career and a new movie coming out so he needed to generate some buzz. It worked, his movie was a hit and his career might be revived.
This wife thing is just an excuse.

Let's tell the truth, she also knows that the democrats politics of personal destruction ala hachet man Davis has already hired someone to dig out the dirt with which to destroy Arnie. I can't recall the man's name, but this is exactly what happened. Davis plays rough, and he has also been consulting with the dirtiest campaigners of all time, the Clintons.

Good. I like Ahhnowd much better as an actor and pubbie activist than as a politician. I would have real trouble supporting someone who is on the other side of many key issues to me.
