America will survive into eternity. I'll bet anybody any amount of money (if I had any). Never make a bet you could lose tomorrow but would have to outlive eternity to win.

The Founders did get it right, but us modern folk haven't.
From an engineering perspective, this modern single point of failure is bad design.

Republicans are losing sight of the real goals and need their attention refocused on supporting the Constitution which does not include socialism.Absolutely right! Otherwise, they are going to go the way of the Federalists & Whigs.
I suppose there is a reason that some would still report the party, if it abandons all principle. There are job holders, who depend on it for their livelihood. But the rest of us only support parties, because we believe in their stands at a given moment in time. Anyone who forgets that, does not really have the interests even of his party in mind.
