Federal Election Commission records reviewed by NewsMax.com show that among those officials who list Starwood or a Starwood hotel property as their workplace favored Democrats by better than 3 to 1 over Republicans for the 1999-2000 election cycle.

Starwood's hotels include Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, Luxury Connection, Four Points and, ironically, W.

Thank goodness! The mega chains are overpriced anyway. You can make your vacation dollars stretch further by staying at a nice comfortable place that gives you the basics and leave all the frills for those with the money to spend on them.

Apparently they do. Have you checked the room rates for Sheraton and Westin lately?

How that's a hotel that doesn't charge you an arm and a leg to get a clean, comfortable room!

Yuck! You mean like don't go barefoot in the room, sleep on the bedspread (not under, on the sheets), and wipe the potty seat down?

LOL, we've all stayed in motels like this, haven't we? Ah, the memories...the memories...

Thanks very much there for the article. Bump for Fox News.

BTW, Newsmax is not part of the WP/LAT seattlement deal so it's O.K. to post full articles from the site.

My local Wells Fargo bank installed a TV about six months ago that can be viewed from the queue of customers waiting for for tellers. When it was first installed, it was always tuned to CNN. I have noticed in the last month it has been tuned to Fox.

Marriott has a number of brands from very reasonable to very nice resorts. Pick one that suits your budget.

I go to a cardiology group every two to four weeks for blood tests. When I first started, two years ago, their waiting room TV was tuned to CNN. For the past year it has been tuned to FNC.

No more money from me or my family. Boycott Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, Luxury Connection and Four Points !

Here's a variation of that.

Call the reservation desk, make reservations for a night or two.

Then, just before it's finalized, ask, 'Oh, by the way, do you get Fox News?' When they finally said no..........tell them you'll look elsewhere.

It's more effective than just staying away, you've just told them WHY you're staying away.
