[history]
The congressional report on pre-Sept. 11 intelligence calls into question answers that National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice gave the public last year about the White House's knowledge of terrorism threats.
It's a fresh credibility issue for the adviser whose remarks about prewar Iraq information also have been questioned by members of Congress.

This "noise" is gradually getting louder. Condi's turn on the griddle this week, it looks like. :/

Capturing Saddam would be great timing right now.
I am in the camp that wants to see him captured alive.
That will keep the media's attention for quite sometime.

"It WAYYYYYY past time for the Republicans to smack the rats down." You're right about that. This malignant bunch of bastards are way overdue for a thrashing. The stench coming from AP is overwhelming and, if you notice, there is seldom a byline identifying the little slimeball who writes this kind of crap.

Every day the tactics laid out in Ann Coulter's "Treason" are played out in front of us by the Dems. The GOP should be stomping all over these guys and putting them on the defensive, but unfortunately it is dominated by sissies. I'm still trying to figure out what they are afraid of.

Hilly's worried about Condi. Her media goons have their marching orders.

This needs to be stopped right now. This witch hunt cannot be allowed to go on. The left is doing as much damage as possible, and seems to be doing it with total free reign.
Time to shout Vast Left Wing Conspiracy from the housetops!

I dunno Speedy.
I believe that it is because the rats would make more hay out of the response than the accusation.. They use the bait and bomb strategy often and it always seems to work for them.

Hilly's worried about Condi. And she should be. Condi is way out of the Beast's league.

But the congressional report states that "from at least 1994, and continuing into the summer of 2001, the Intelligence Community received information indicating that terrorists were contemplating, among other means of attack, the use of aircraft as weapons." Someone should ask Butthole Bob why he couldn't look up from his diary long enough to say something, since he was Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

It's a fresh credibility issue for the adviser whose remarks about prewar Iraq information also have been questioned by members of Congress. Ping for the drumbeat getting louder.
Of course, the article goes on (reluctantly, of course) to say Rice was constrained in what her public comments could contain, as some information was classified. But, hey! Why let that get in the way!
And then there's this:
But the congressional report states that "from at least 1994, and continuing into the summer of 2001, the Intelligence Community received information indicating that terrorists were contemplating, among other means of attack, the use of aircraft as weapons."
Now, let's see, WHO was supposed to do something about terrorist threats? Oh, ONLY the Bush administration.

Condie will NOT go down for this! I refuse to allow it!!
To: wirestripper
You may be right, ws. The Dems are doing a pretty good job of shooting themselves in the foot and maybe it is smarter for the GOP to just let them go on screaming. Maybe I'm not giving the electorate enough credit in the post 9-11 world. It would sure make me feel better to see some Pubbie leaders really rip into them, though.

Yeah, this is a long article with sexy info. It screams "run me."
No doubt many editors will fall to the temptation.
A pox on those who do.
