Charlie, they took my thumbs, Charlie.

He's still alive? I thought he was killed and eaten by the towns people of South Park.

The rest of the story...

It was an impromptu appearance on the show after Roberts e-mailed Medved, blaming republican cutbacks for the deaths of the ten victims. Roberts was apparently motivated to email Medved after he allegedly said Roberts was stupid for supporting democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.

When Eric Roberts joined the show, he insisted that he begin by reading a statement, pleading that even though a professional actor with more than 100 film credits, he was not articulate enough to ad lib it. Medved agreed and let him read his left-wing political script for what must have been several minutes. The statement, which sounded like a campaign speech for Dennis Kucinich, was replete with attacks on republicans. Roberts denied that he was a Kucinich supporter.

When Medved mentioned that they would soon open up the lines to callers, Roberts timidly protested, saying that he did not want to have any discussions with callers. He continued one-on-one with Medved.

So, why were Republicans behind the wheel in Santa Monica that horrific day? Simple, says Roberts. Due to the $7 billion a day we spend on the Iraq war (his wife later corrected the figure to only $1 billion), there was no money left for programs to get older drivers off the road! Yes, he really said this.

It Gets Better

After some political discussion about big corporations, the war machine and other liberal rants, they went to commercial break.

When they came back, Roberts was no longer on the phone. Instead a woman greeted Medved. Apparently, Roberts was so afraid that he put his wife, Eliza Roberts, on the line instead. He was in the room, but would not come on the air. She proceeded to continue were Eric left off.

And Better Yet!

As if it was not comical enough to hide behind his wife, on came his mother-in-law, Lila Garrett to speak for him as well! As the Southern California Chair of the Kucinich Campaign, she took every opportunity to campaign for him.

Roberts later came back on the line and answered a couple questions from callers, but letting the women do most of the talking.

And, we’re supposed to believe he wrote that statement all by himself? Right. We think there may have had a woman's touch.

...

Sounds too strange to be true.

It is kind of scary especially when you realize Eric is a Mensa when compared to his sister Julia.

Is this the same Eric Roberts who was arrested in 1987 for assaulting a police officer and arrested again in 1995 for beating up his wife?

Having Hollywood liberals on the radio is like having retarded people on the air just to make fun of them. It's rather cruel.

I'm sure the Republicans are also responsible for the Black Death, The Spanish Inquisition, the fall of Rome and the consumption of 80% of the rutabegas grown in California. </sarcasm

Ok, name the last good movie Eric Roberts was in...I bet you can't. That's because he's irrelevant and I suspect he just chimes in ridiculous liberal rants for attention (and because he's a liberal Hollywood has-been).

This is also interesting. My company blocks the site:

So anything making fun of the Hollywood-left is Hate and Discrimination. This is the first time I've found a site blocked with Hate and Discrimination...

Any ideas on some blatently left-wing sites that are hateful and discriminatory and should therefore be blocked? I'm going to call the company and complain. It's only a matter of time before FreeRepublic is blocked.

No one told the 87 year old that those blue buses in Santa Monica are for public transportation. If Eric Roberts had a brain he'd play with it.

Roberts (whoever HE is) may actually be right. If the dems were in charge, their taxes would have stripped this gguy to the bone so he wouldn't be able to afford or gas a car. He would be considered one of the wealthy and would be placed in a "diversity camp" to unlearn to wrong-thinking of a wealthy person. His property would have gone to someone who deserved it.
