It is now up to the military to help us out of this mess.

Are there really enough people getting their plumbing changed to tie up a State legislative body in a debate?

No wonder California is in such bad shape if all they have to do is try to protect perverts. What happened to protections for all the regular folks ?

This always happens when the California Senate has passed all the budget items and other important business and has nothing else to do. Oh, wait a minute...

If this were put to a vote in California 75% of the population woule vote against it. It's the sick f--- democrats who are pushing deviancy forward.

Give liberals full throated control of government and this is what you get.

At this rate in, a few years, we'll be begging Mexico to take California.

AB 196 allows employees to dress consistent with their gender identity as long as they meet reasonable workplace appearance standards...

Define "reasonable..."

This is just idiotic, IMHO...the normal folks out there better get to work and oust more than just the "fruitcake" governor!!!

This is what the slippery slope is all about. And we can look forward to much more with the Supreme Court ruling.

Remember, this freak is coming to a ladies restroom (and classroom) near you and your daughter. And if there are two of them, they'll be having sex in the stall.

I'll bet that most transgendered folk are emotional messes. Do companies get to test their mental health before they have to hire them?

One famous sex-change case was Jan Morris (or Morrison?), a Brit travel writer and a great one. I'd volunteer to occupy the desk next to him....er, her...At least our chats would be interesting.

How about a law requiring every lawmaker who voted for this to hire a tranvestite/transexual as a press secretary.

Let see how they like it.

I bet the plumber's union put them up to this as a way of stimulating new restroom construction in office buildings. I've seen this movie, and I know that the women will not accept "her" in their bathroom, and the men don't want "her" in their bathroom either. It's an ugliness that keeps on giving.

Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse the liberals once again top themselves. (Is that an innuendo?)

Gays are in some of the most powerful positions in the CA state legislature. They have the power to punish those who get in their way, and few do (any more). I think they're in a rush to get as many of their bills as possible signed into law before Davis goes bye-bye. I wouldn't even want to be a conservative Republican governor in that state and have to deal with these wild-eyed homo fanatics.

Calif. Senate OKs transgender protections (Companies MUST hire transgenders)

As a tranplanted Okie, I'd like to tell the rest of the country that it may actaully
be a GOOD thing that the California Legislature (controlled by Democratic-Socialists)
are expending their brain-power on this topic.

Because when they aren't engaged in social engineering like this, they make merry
figuring out ways to drive the state economy/budget further into the red
and how to increase their confiscatory taxes on their constituents.

I know this sounds surreal...but then, that's California.

Equality California, the state's GLBT advocacy organization

Equality MY @$$...these people (and I use that term advisedly) want nothing less
than SUPERIOR Rights that supercede the rights of anyone who isn't in their "oppressed category".

Why must companies hire transgenders? Just because they are transgenders doesn't mean they are the best qualified.

Too crazy. And we wonder why the world is crashing down? It's idiot laws like this. They are ruining competition in the name of equality(slavery); and if anyone has trouble seeing that; they are in La La Land.
