Beautifully put. And wasn't it Marx who said that "religion" is the opiate of the masses?" Oh contraire mon-fraire (sp). If anything, socialism is the opiate of the masses. There isn't a more diabolical "religion" that creates mass dependence on someone or something.

Ann Coulter mentions in her book that Whitacker Chambers stated that communism was going to win over democracy if the US did not become more spiritually involved in the battle, that communists were deep believers in their philosophy and the US public were simply complacent participants in democracy.
