[history]
Jessica Lynch, the wounded Army private whose ordeal in Iraq was hyped into a media fiction of U.S. heroism, was set for an emotional homecoming on Tuesday. . . . Media critics say the TV cameras will not show the return of an injured soldier so much as a reality-TV drama co-produced by U.S. government propaganda and credulous reporters." Got problems with that? I do, especially since I didn't write it.

Why did Reuters put my name on a horribly slanted story?
Because they have an agenda - and it ain't journalism.

The leftist press, slightly more accurate then Baghdad Bob...but only slightly At least Baghdad Bob has a excuse, he worked for a raving madman.
What's Reuters pathetic reason besides the obvious?

I hope that I live long enough to see the mainstream media implode. It would be akin to the collapse of communism in Russia and the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Some say the BBC will be the biggest casualty of the Iraq War. We shall see.

I was shocked when I saw this article yesterday. I've accepted that Reuters is an organization of weasels, but this was a new low. And now it's an even lower low. I'm glad that Ms. Wrenn spoke up.
Here's the original article:

I hope Ms. Wrenn sues their drawers off - really. It is, apparently, the only way they will learn.
Perhaps one of the coolest things about the internet is that it is giving the people an opportunity to tear down the notion that the press reports the news impartially. It seems that of late, especially after the start of the Iraq military action, the press has had more egg on their face than I can ever remember.

Consider that in the last few months the following news sources have been brought into serious question;
NYT: Jayson Blair scandal and all the 'diversity' over real journalism crap it brought to life
BBC: 'Sexed up' their accusation of Blair 'sexing up' the Iraq dossier
Al Jazeera: Was on Saddam's payroll
Reuters: This crap
And if you go back a little further, CNN had Tailwind.
To: Pan_Yans Wife
Oh man! That would be awesome.
To: Paul Atreides
Agree completely. You and me both--may we live that long.

If, at the same time, liberal H*llywood would pack up and move to Fr*nce, I wouldn't complain. That's not asking too much, in my opinion.
