Savage would surely lose the recall contest but even if he won, having no experience as an executive in the public sector and having little political tact, he would drown the California GOP's chances for another 20 years. He is best on the radio, winning hearts and minds, without facing the harsh scrutiny of the press (which revels in using impolitic remarks of a few Republicans against the whole party).

>great idea
Why would you think this? I'm just curious what your reasons are. Policy-wise, sure I have no problem. But politically, with the "Gotcha!" mentality of the press, how would a loose cannon like Savage be good for the GOP?

I like Savage as a talk-shock-jog but as governor -- ludicrous.
PS: He's just foolin' about.

Don't take this as endorsement for Michael....but gridlock's not necessarily a bad thing with the bills these bozo's are trying to pass.

He would be the thinnest skinned politician in history It's pretty hard to beat Jesse Ventura on that one!

If Arnold can run, why not Savage. I think Arnold is a phoney creep. And creepy.
To: fr_longtimer
in time, the CorpGovMedia will seize it back and this time having stigmatized the entire GOP. we need a strategy to dismantle the liberal media first before someone like Savage would ever win an election.

Dialogue from a guy who doesn't listen to callers, cuts them off, misassumes what they'll say, shouts people down. Dialogue! ROTFLMAO!

YOU mean the "rocky mountain trash" savage?
I've loved Savage since I first heard him. He has been different and interesting and very entertaining. A very bright guy. Borders, language, culture.
But thus "rocky mountain trash" rant he has been on has torn it for me. Savage has displayed a focus on the girl in the "Kobe Bryant" case that's plain weird. Almost as if the situation is a bit too close to him personally. As if he has had some kind of similiar experience.
I'm listening to Savage right now. But I don't think the same of him as I did before. Why? Because I know someone who was raped and until it is clear who did what to whom in the Kobe Bryant case he should keep his mouth shut if he wants to keep me as a supporter. Unless he has 100% proof that the girl did what he suggests.

I don't get this guy. I've listened to him plenty, and his self-promotion doesn't come off as charming, like Rush's, but just plain rude.
