At least 24 released since court ruling on CA molestation law

(Los Angeles-AP) -- At least two dozen convicted sex offenders have been released from prison since a U-S Supreme Court decision struck down a California law on prosecuting child molesters.

That's according to today's Los Angeles Times, which surveyed corrections records statewide.

As sick as this may seem this was actually the right thing to do under the law. The law needs to stand at how it was written at the time these crimes were committed. Otherwise there would be no limit to what Government can go back and prosecute people for.
