Democrat Attack Ad - The Ten Commandments
Buoyed by the success of their current African uranium ad, the DNC has just announced a follow-up commercial to air shortly. We secretly obtained this advance draft of the script from Uday & Qusay's hideou in Mosul:
(Voice-over:) Bush claims to be a Christian. Christians often cite the Ten Commandments, But do you know what they actually say?
[Superimposed text:]
"Thou shalt kill
commit adultery
steal
bear false witness against thy neighbour
covet thy neighbour's house
covet thy neighbour's wife, his manservant,
his maidservant, his ox, his ass,
any thing that is thy neighbour's."
(Voice-over:) Is this who we want running our country?
[On camera talking heads]
Tom Daschle: "I'm deeply shocked and saddened."
Terry McAullife: "Sure, we edited it down some, but those are the actual words in the ten commandments!"
Pete Starke: "Those #%@*sucker @&!#-eating &*@&#*!^$%ing fruitcake %@*&$!%!#%#!s!..."

What does Ashcroft say about this?
He said, "Power not specifically given to the states will have no other gods before me."
What? Is that a commandment or an amendment?
Ashcroft said he doesn't know and he doesn't care.
Wow. That's quite way to govern.
It's the best there is.

From the prescription drug debate:
Mr. STARK. Mr. Speaker, I yield myself the remaining time and will use it to sum up because that is about all the time it will take to explain what is in the Republican bill, which is nothing. It privatizes Medicare, and it promises a benefit as good as we Members of Congress get, and it does not get a third of the way there.
It is a hoax. It is phony. It is a fig leaf. It only gives coverage to the Republicans because there is nothing, absolutely nothing in this bill that requires anybody to provide a drug benefit to the seniors, and perhaps they will give the Republicans enough campaign money or promises and favors of other sorts to get them to change this in the future; but right now, sexual favors will not do it, nothing will do it. We are not giving the seniors anything but a hoax.

Thanks for the comment.
(Wish I understood it.)

I think the commandments are more offensive to the dems without the editing.

Ashcroft never met a Commandment he didn't like, nor an Amendment he isn't willing to trash. I don't think he knows the difference, frankly. Federal = God pretty well sums up his Justice [sic] Department.
