That cartoon is gruesome, but it says what it is. And, it is saying something to the world now, that we should consider a protection to our children and our grandchildren -- powerful visuals, that say we will not take their crap. Remember the boy showing off the bloody hand after killing Americans in Afghanistan (I think it was). That visual was a powerful one for all of our enemies everywhere. These pictures are too.

I don't think so. I think releasing these photos was a big mistake, downright stupid. I predict it will lead to a huge controversy that could have been avoided - questions of propriety, Geneva Convention violations, etc. This will give ammo to the Left to raise one more side issue with which to blast Bush.

These pictures won't be a problem. The left may raise it, but who gives a flying fig... Many in America will just say, "they're dead, Jim..." and get back to important things like who's going to be evicted from the Big Brother house this week and what time to see Seabiscuit.

We released the photos for the sake of the Iraqis who had to be sure that these two murderers were dead. They are...

Anyone who has seen pictures of Uday/Qusay or have seen them on videotape... will have no hesitation in recognizing them.

So,you propose we lay down and give up,worry about not offending liberal sensitivities over whatever good this may do for Americans in Iraq itself?The lay down tactic has been tried.Bush is using the "do the right thing,let chips fall where they may" philosophy.I like that better.Then again,we do have an entire generation that came of age in the ninties,I'm sure they will struggle with this way of doing things.
