President Bush, flanked by Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Richard B. Myers, and U.S. Administrator in Iraq, Paul Bremer, spoke this morning in the White House Rose Garden regarding the killing of the monstrous sons of Saddam Hussein, Uday and Qusay yesterday, and the positive effect it would have on the Iraqi people, and citing the great progress that has been made by the Coalition Forces in Iraq.

Later in the morning he welcomed former President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel, and Argentine President Nestor Kirchner in the Oval Office. He also found time to honor the Presidential Medal of Honor recipients in the East Room, including Vaclav Havel, Van Cliburn, John Wooden, Roberto Clemente, Dave Thomas and Charleston Heston.

This pianist particularly enjoyed the photo of Van Cliburn.

So did this one! One of my earlier LP's was Van Cliburn playing Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto......and I still have it! :o)

Positively SUPER Dose pix tonight! I've just had eye surgery and text is still a bit blurry to read, so my freeping is impacted some,

Regarding these pix, hoow tragic this is. Charlton Heston used to be the most glorious, tall, strapping beautiful man. For anyone of you young folks out there who have never seen "Ben-Hur", I urge you to rent it. He was magnificent - his acting was incredible (he won the Best Actor Oscar that year), and he was absolutely gorgeous - brilliant blue eyes, curly brown hair, strong jaw, and a raw sexuality that turned this then 14-year-old teenaged girl into a puddle of mush.

This makes me so sad...

I know that there are lots of prayers.....and Eric really feels them!

He started a Bible study on Wednesday nights at 6:00, and he'd love to have prayers for that.

He's had a pretty good turnout, and lots of interest, and he's already had the privilege of leading one young man to the Lord!

He's also had many excellent adventures, including a ride in a Marine helicopter over Baghdad last week!
