And then went into an anti-smoker tirade and on and on about how some bar and restaurant owners claim to be hurting because of the ban and tempers tend to fly over smoking issues.Total baloney. I was watching at the time, and he said nothing of the sort.
Look, I too am opposed to the stupid smoking bans and unfair demonization of smokers, but you actually hurt your cause by exaggerating and similarly unfairly smearing others. About as counterproductive as the dolts who toss their cigarettes butts on the street, sidewalk, grass, etc.
You must have been listening to a different cut than I was - because he did speak of business claiming to be hurt by the ban.
Regardless, he provided wrong information regarding the date of the ban rally - different people are going to take what he said how they wish to hear it. He should have corrected his error.
If the rally were a pro-ban rally and he made that type of mistake or gave any indication that there might be a connection between that rally and the shooting you can bet there would be MAJOR retractions and apologies because the pro-ban folks would be allover FNC for an apology.
