WHAT TIMING!

What a change from the RNC in 2000 when several of us wanted Nicholson Gone -- they were inept in those days!
Today RNC has a first class Research Group that we all need to support and help them spread the these Research pieces around the Net to get the Truth Out! Voting Records do not lie!
Chairman Racicot reorganized RNC into what I would call a fighting machine to counter RAT Attacks and Incoming Chairman Gillespie is carrying on that tradition in addition to being one hard hitting person in interviews.

No, the Democrats have shown their true selves - they are internationalists who want to give away the defense, the control, the power of this great land and let dictators, human rights abusers and third world countries be in charge of the power of America. BINGO .. that is exactly what they want

I think it's also interesting that while running for office, none of these critters - save Sharpie Sharpton on Hissy Matthews and LIEberman on O'Reilly - are appearing on the talking head shows.
Biden goes on Russert and Matthews so that they can stroke his ego by begging him to run.
Again, I think conservative hosts are missing an opportunity. Instead of accepting "spokespersons" for the candidates, they should say sorry, we want the candidate not you. At the very least, on camera, ask why the candidate is hiding from conservative questioning? Ala Hillary - she always allows an ego stroking interview to Colmes, but not to Hannity.

I saw Barnes on FOX last night ! I like Fred !!
"Even he's cracked. I mean, this was a crack like when he ran for president the first time, when he flipped his vote on abortion, a moral issue. ... He says things I don't think he believes. He said in here, 'I believe George Bush has made us less safe and less secure than we were four years ago.' He can't believe that. I mean, Al Qaeda is dispersed, Saddam is out of power, Iran has problems with young people rebelling against it, Syria is scared of the U.S. now, Libya today, the son of General Qaddafi was pleading with the U.S. to be nice, we want to have a friendly relationship and so on, the middle east peace negotiations are moving and all these things, and he says America is less safe and secure? I say he does not believe a word of that."

I thought Geppy had two faces! Oh, I can set that one straight. A lot of people make this mistake because of the close resemblance. But the one he sits on -- that's not actually his face.

This reminds me of Kerry on Intel and Defense. There's a midget factory somewhere that produces DEM presidential candidates.

Do you know what the problem is with nine candidates in a race? If five of them are roughly equal and the other four split 20 percent of the vote, we have a situation where 80 percent of the votes will be split 5 ways. If they are pretty equal, then garnering 17 or 18 percent of the primary votes in a state will make a candidate a winner of that states electoral votes.
Blacks make up over 20 percent of the Democratic primary voters. If one candidate can win all the black votes he will be the nominee. The very leftist enviornmentalists can give a primary candidate half of what he needs to win. The same is true of all sorts of minority groups.
If Dean can get the anti war people and the Greens to vote for him, he will be the nominee. The point is almost any two groups, voting as a block, can give the nomination to the candidate of their choice.
So each of the top five candidates has to pander to every group in the party... to make sure no other candidate gets a major chunk of that group. No candidate can give Dean the anti-war and green groups. They would give Dean the nomination. So every Democratic candidate has to pander to every group in the Democratic party to keep one of their rivals from getting all of that groups votes.
The pandering to every group will not stop until the field drops down to two major and one or two minor candidates.
If Republicans are lucky, their will be 5 separate winners in the first 5 states to pick a Democratic nominee. That would insure the pandering continues for a long time. It would be nice to have a brokered Democratic convention. Maybe we can get some old hippies to riot again like they did in Chicago in 1968.

Dick Gephardt's inconsistent voting record through the years on defense appropriations, just shows how much of a two-faced partisan liberal Democrat he really is. The #1 Constitutional responsibility of the Congress and the President, is to make sure the American people are protected and defended from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
PresBush has significantly increased spending for the defense of America since taking office. Budgetary funding for the Dept of Defense has gone up 7.3%, or 16.6% of GDP, over and above the last Clinton budget. However, more can and should be done to raise military spending and spending for America's intelligence agencies.
To: PhiKapMom
Gephardt's strength has always been among union types who often vote as "Reagan Democrats." President Bush has largely beaten the media's portrayal of him as a "drunken, priviledged, frat boy," and he will likely win some of these "Reagan Democrat" votes. This development leaves Gephardt without a good core of support. He's now just grasping for any straw.

I would love to see the hippies come out in force like in 1968! That was a sight to behold.
None of them seem to be breaking away from the pack -- one will go forward and then the others will go more left. By the time they are through with the campaign, they will be so far left that any movement to the middle still leaves them WAY far to the left!
Wonder who does have the minority vote?

Wonder who does have the minority vote?Do not count our Al Sharpton. Then innner city blacks vote the way the preacher tells them. The democratic party usually through the unions gives money to the inner city preachers. It is called "walking around" money. They are paid to tell the blacks for whom to vote. THey may very well throw a large portion fo the black vote to brother Al.
I would point out that Blacks represent about 20 percent fo the black voters. If htey get behind brother Al, all could be in the top 2 or 3 candidates with the most delegates to the Democratic convention.
Al will not be the nominee, but he may get to say who the nominee is.
