The Quadratic Formula uses the "a", "b", and "c" from "ax2 + bx + c", where "a", "b", and "c" are just numbers.   The Formula is derived from the process of completing the square, and is formally stated as:

For ax2 + bx + c = 0, the value of x is given by

x = [ –b ± sqrt(b^2 – 4ac) ] / 2a

In that picture Breanna was 2 weeks old. She will be a year old on October 1st this year. Her grandparents are our closest friends here, so much so that we consider their kids a niece and nephew...

2 weeks later our first grandbaby (AZ Flyboy's daughter) is due.

Only 27 more days to see this tourist attraction: Pelusa, a 14-year-old female polar bear, looks through the bars of her cage at Mendoza's Zoo in Argentina . Pelusa, normally white, turned violet after veterinarians administered a drug to treat a skin infection. She should turn to her normal color within a month.

My purple bear
has no hair
but fur she wears
on her ears
the bottoms of her paws
and as far as I know
it's not against the law
to have purple hair
since we are none
the worse for wear
and tear
sporting purple hair...

In some cultures
near and far
hairless bears
enjoy great rave
in the USof A
we like them
black, brown, grizzled
and purpled!!!

I love my bear with purple hair!!

:-)
Ms feather
