where exactly is the "Sunni Triangle" defined?

I just checked Webster's. No luck there.

Saddam Hussein's sons Odai and Qusai were killed in a six-hour firefight Tuesday when U.S. forces, acting on a tip from an Iraqi informant ... $15 million each for his sons

Someone's going to get a big check.

Good point/question. My guess is that more "details" will come out in the days ahead. Right now those 200, or so, special ops soldiers must be celebrating as if they had just won the Super Bowl.

That informant has some tough decisions.

A 7-series Beemer, or an E-Series Mercedes?

Or should he get both? :o)

The 4 hour gunbattle is now 6 hours. By tomorrow it will be 24 hours with hundreds killed. By next year it will be a month with thousands killed. Who knows, this might become a morality play and eventually be translated and pasted in somewhere in a sanskrit epic.

With $30 million, he won't have to decide - get both. Might as well throw in another auto "for fun":

He [Qusai ] was described as quiet and level, particularly compared to Odai, Saddam's eldest son, who had a reputation for brutality and flamboyance.

Michael and Sonny are dead. Just lookin' for Don Vito...

Saddam has a third, younger son, according to some reports, and three daughters. All kept a low profile in his regime.

I guess that Fredo survives this time - probably because Saddam's Fredo wasn't stupid enough to cooperate with the Bush Family to knock off Qusai.

However, does it sound strange the battle was so fierce and went on for such a long time when we had 200 of the good guys armed to the teeth, and they had only 4 people in the house who were shooting back with small arms?

Yeah, that's one of the talking points over at DU.

"that's one of the talking points over at DU."

Oh, why am I not surprised. Anyway, the info is already changing. Now they say there were at least 7 people in the house. And I also wonder if they are calling anything short of RPG's "small arms." If it took our guys 3-4 hours just to make sure none of them were killed, that certainly works for me.

Colonel David Hunt has interesting information on O'Reilly. Says they found upwards of $50 million in the house and, EVEN BETTER, lists of the Baathist leaders. Also says, going in to a fight like this, better to kill those who need killing than to get our guys killed.

I don't get it. I thought we were sure that we got them last time. Did they take their velvet porn paintings and videos with them this time?

This time, we've got their bodies! Damaged, but not so badly that they couldn't be IDed by visual means alone.
