MSNBC: Alleged (Kobe Byrant) Victim seen bragging at a party 3 days later
MSNBC.COM ^ | 7/22/03 | MSNBC

Posted on 07/22/2003 8:20:57 AM PDT by Smogger

I just saw it on MSNBC. They said she was at a party a week ago, 3 days before Kobe was charged.

They said she was drinking (consumption by a minor) and playing cards, and was bragging about.....(MSNBC took out the audio at the end of sentence)

The story was confirmed by 5 people at separate places and times who were at the party and all gave a similar account of what happened.

When asked how the girl looked, the guy interviewed said she looked happy. Everyone was shocked to see her at the party given the incident.

I think someone may have even asked how hung was Kobe upon which she described with hand gestures. She seemed to be bragging according to a friend, but said she couldn't tell them what happened that night.

This just keeps getting better and better...

When you point the finger at one person, there's seven coming right back at you. I have the feeling you're the whore and the liar. (there's such a thing as a male whore)
How do you expect a hotel to make money if you don't answer when one calls for room service. (Kobe could have use the
old cliche "they don't answer my page because I'm black)
She had been told to go up to see what the dude wanted and
that's when he jumped her bone....what part of it you don't
understand.

None of this stuff matters until it's said under oath in a court of law.

There was sexual intercourse between the two of them, so outside of the unlikely prospect of some solid evidence that she consented to it, there is no way that an acquittal of Kobe would be interpreted as a false allegation on the part of his accuser.

Why are so many people having a big problem distinguishing between the knowing submission of a false acusation and an aquital by a jury?

Sorry about your industrial accident.

I have ten fingers.

You normally answer a page when you're off-duty?

Even Kobe-defenders here will back off their stance if more evidence comes out. But you seem deadset on conviction. I wonder why, especially for someone who just signed up.

There are rarely witnesses to rape. She will tell her story. Kobe will tell his story. The DA will present his evidence against Kobe and the jury will decide-end of story. It doesn't matter if Kobe is convicted or not. Some will never believe he did it. Some will be convinced he did it. I can't understand why there are such hateful posts about the girl-thats all. I have no opinion as to Kobe's guilt-don't know enough.

The girl either did not get as much (snuggling, a morning phone call, etc.) or more (anal penetration, rough handling)than she bargained for.

Are you contending that even if someone engages in consensual sex thinking it would be normal sex, that they can be forced to submit to anal sex?

I would have my husband charged if he did that to me (which of course he would never do).

And please note I am asking as a general contention, not saying this girl consented and then "got what was coming to her if he wanted anal sex", which I find a stunning and sick position that I've seen some here embrace.

NB is biased and full of it. He knows that they can seek regress in civil court which has low standards of proof than the criminal court.

So, say he sues her, and, based on the preponderance of the evidence, the jury agrees she lied. What then? His lawyers end up owning the junker she drives to college? And how big a bill do they send him for the difference? You can't get blood out of a stone, and you need proof beyond a reasonable doubt to send her to the can (where she would deserve to go).

"-- some fairly decent chaps would begin behaving in indecent ways. What's to stop them? Which leads to the next change:

Concealed carry for women and changes in self-defense laws. This would change men's behavior. Would a man go into a hotel room with a strange woman? Nope. She could just shoot him and claim attempted rape. Lotta wackos in the world, and men would not take too many chances. This would lead to more gentlemanly behavior on the part of the men-folk and I think that would be an improvement."

Nope. Forgot the root of the problem. We aren't teaching morals to young men ......or young women..........any more. No no no................no Ten Commandments. Bulls**t excuses for mainstream churches pastored by drooling liberals who wouldn't know Job from John. Removal of all references to God in anything resembling a public institution. Boy Scouts under attack; have to allow rump rangers as Scoutmasters. An entertainment media and advertising world hell bent to convince us all that EVERYone is getting laid but us. A thriving industry in the dismemberment of babies in their mama's wombs.......with shrieking feminists and go**amned Congressidiots protecting them to their stinking, dying breaths.

You destroy the moral underpinnings of a society, you cheapen the lives therein. This wench is lucky she was only raped (if she was at all). Guns aren't the ultimate answer; it's the hearts and minds. God has just GOT to be losing His patience with us........and I don't blame Him one bit.

There was a caller on SH today that said his buddy or friend or cousin or nephew or someone worked at the resort and saw KB running down the hall naked chasing a dog.

How many legs did the dog have?

Ah yes so much speculation going around, imagine a person with a brain having unprotected high risk sex with someone they met ten minutes ago......hmmm which should one fear more, pregnancy or Aids...and would it be the same for both parties?

I don't have an opinion yet in this case other than that Kobe probably wasn't a boy scout, because he apparently wasn't prepared...

those are agenda driven posts

also gives an real view into some

much like the radical left is on some of their issues such as abortion includes 'partial-birth'.......

a lot of enjoyment seen in some of those posts based on statements by strangers you would not ever believe in any circumstances

the amazing part is how Newsweek gave unidentified biased buddies instant credibility

"reliable longtime sources?"

written on the wind

I don't listen to his show, so tell me: Did Boortz suggest that this case might be one in which this proposed law would apply? Kobe's situation is definitely the impetus of his discussing the topic.

Well,

If your name is Kennedy and somebody died, you wait all night, get your daddy's lawyers to put your ducks in a row, then call.

Victims want 2 things: help for their physical injuries (immediately), and help for the crimes commited against them (immediately after).

What's a good family man?

It's one who respect and honor his wife and I haven't seen that from Kobe. What I have seen so far is a guy who preys on teenager and you think you have no right to question him?....what's good for the goose is good for the gander...

If she went there expecting some action and got some action, I don't think she would bother going to the Sheriff afterwards.

Excellent point...

He said "You know I would do anything like that"

He thought nobody would check him out, afterall he was Kobe and so far he had managed to fool thousands of his fans and still is.
