MSNBC: Alleged (Kobe Byrant) Victim seen bragging at a party 3 days later
MSNBC.COM ^ | 7/22/03 | MSNBC

I just saw it on MSNBC. They said she was at a party a week ago, 3 days before Kobe was charged.

They said she was drinking (consumption by a minor) and playing cards, and was bragging about.....(MSNBC took out the audio at the end of sentence)

The story was confirmed by 5 people at separate places and times who were at the party and all gave a similar account of what happened.

When asked how the girl looked, the guy interviewed said she looked happy. Everyone was shocked to see her at the party given the incident.

I think someone may have even asked how hung was Kobe upon which she described with hand gestures. She seemed to be bragging according to a friend, but said she couldn't tell them what happened that night.

This just keeps getting better and better...

There was a caller on Sean Hannity today that claimed his buddy or a friend of a friend worked at the resort and said she had made similar claims about someone who worked at the resort and they lost their job.

There was a caller on SH today that said his buddy or friend or cousin or nephew or someone worked at the resort and saw KB running down the hall naked chasing a dog.

Years ago, the Grammy-winning duo Milli Vanilli was ruined because a skipping CD at a live event confirmed that they sang to a pre-recorded track.

Maybe KB should have worn a headset.

Funny few are noticing how KB blew it on his prepared, rehearsed national TV presentation. They put out his 'transcript' the next day. Interesting that is close, but not the same as the one that is now widely available and was the REAL transcript.

Ok. Rape is a "probable" scenario.

Rape is a "probable" scenario.

Not statistically. I would call it a possible scenario.

I'll bet that the police will testify that when they first asked Bryant, he denied sexual contact. Consensual or otherwise.

You bet??????? Don't you know? Do you or do you not maintain that Bryant denied any sexual contact to the police or anyone else? Yes or no?

I'm allowed to form opinions too. What's your problem?

I already outlined last night on another thread my theory (read that slowly----theory, not conclusion) that Bryant denied any sexual contact when he first spoke with the police.

Of course I could be wrong, and of course I don't know until testimony is offered. I don't "maintain" anything that isn't adequately established in a reliable fashion.

That means if the police say they asked and he acknowledged it right up front I'll accept it. It doesn't matter to me--just using my powers of putting two and two together and either reaching an educated guess or missing the mark.

Yeah he is biased against the insane amount of litigation in this country. One idea of Neal Boortz's that I like is the LOSER PAYS (court costs) if you file a civil lawsuit against someone and lose.

Do you know the difference between tending to lean one way on who is telling the truth and conviction?

Shibboleth. Come again?

What a ridiculous idea. In our system of innocent until proven guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt" a significant number of criminals skate at trial due to lack of evidence, contaminated evidence, prosecutorial ineptitude, lack of witnesses or non-credible witnesses, ill-advised jurors, the ability of some accused to out spend the prosecution, etc... That's the system. It often leaves legitimate victims feeling twice raped. You two want them to go to jail for it...what nonsense.

I do not know how much clearer I can make this. It is pretty simple. If someone KNOWINGLY files a FALSE accusation and it is proven so, then that person serves the time the wrongly accused would have if convicted.

There is a HUGE difference between knowingly filing a false accusation and a person being aquited by a jury. To compare the two is worse than apples and oranges.
