Dont Grant Immunity to Palestinian Terrorists

Dear President Bush, I am praying for you. As you know, President Yassar Arafat, Mahmoud Abbas boss, continues to harbor, support and finance terrorism. I support your September 11th doctrine on terrorism: "If you support a terrorist, if your harbor a terrorist, if you finance a terrorist, you are an enemy of the United States!" Arafat is running the PA and using Abbas to get Americas money and blessing. He is running the entire terrorist regime, and is no friend of America or Israel. You told the PA that they must dismantle their terrorist regime before the U.S. would talk to them. They have not done that. Instead, they are rearming! Abbas is going to ask you to pressure Israel into releasing more than 2000 terrorists held in Israeli prisons. Israel has already released 350 such terrorists, individuals who were instrumental in the deaths of hundreds of innocent Israeli citizens. You must stop the release of these criminals. These individuals are responsible for the maiming and killing of hundreds of innocents, including women, children and the elderly. I cannot in good conscience condone their release. President Bush, I do not trust the UN, Russia or the EU to determine Israels destiny. The Road Map plan that they sponsor requires negotiations with groups like Fatah, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Islamic Jihad, all of which have taken responsibility for terrorist acts against Israeli citizens. I humbly appeal to you to reject this plan. I also appeal to you not to reward terrorists. I fully support your doctrine on terrorism and do not believe granting immunity to terrorists who have murdered Jews can bring peace. American attempts to do this during the 1990s sent a signal to terrorists around world that America was weak and willing to negotiate . These efforts did not end the Middle East violence then, nor do I believe they will lead to a positive resolution now. Abbas believes the Jewish Temple is a myth, and that the Holocaust is a myth. Abbas has a map of Palestine that does not include Israel, not one inch. He believes that Israels claim to any of the land is a myth, and that Israel was born in 1948, created by the UN, not God Almighty. Abbas was the Chief Financial Officer for Fatah, a terrorist organization, for more than 20 years. He cannot be trusted. America needs the blessings of God. God has promised, "I will bless them that bless thee." But, He also promised that He would "curse those that curse thee." Mr. President, please reconsider your decision to support this road to peace, which has failed in the past, and can only fail in the future. America can not support granting immunity to terrorists or rewarding their activities with negotiations. With kindest regards, |
"PA Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas has said he would travel to the U.S. to meet with President Bush at the White House this Friday, July 25th. Abbas will discuss the Quartet-sponsored Road Map plan formulated by the UN, EU, Russia and the U. S. This plan calls for the division of Jerusalem, among other things. A step along the "road" to peace is the release of Palestinians held by Israel. Please stand with the Jerusalem Prayer Team and sign our petition against granting immunity to terrorists."
I'm a hard supporter of President Bush, weak domestic policy and all. I just like the guy. I also recognize he's under a lot of pressure from a wide array of sources and special interests. But the Administration feting known terrorists at the White House is over the top, even for me. These people are playing us for stupid fools.
Hi...Salem and ALL,
I will print out the letter to President Bush sign it and mail it to the WH.
Great Idea!
Thank You and May The Holy One of ISRAEL Bless ALL of You and Your Households.
I don't trust Sharon with Israel's destiny either. BiBi might be able to stand against all this unbelievable lack of truth. Let Israel fight for her life and we will stand with her. Compromise only gets more compromise.........not freedom.
1. Cram a state down the Palestinian's throat, whether they want it or not.
2. When the Pallies continue to attack Israel, they will be doing so not as a bunch of 'freedom fighters' but as an aggressor NATION, thereby losing all claim of victimhood.
3. Israel may then legitimataly defend itself, as any sovereign nation should, and give the Pallies an ass-whipping to end all ass-whuppings between the two.
Of course, this wont stop the anti-Semites of the world (re: France, Germany, most of the U.N.) from excoriating Israel for paricipating in its own defense, but it will expose them for the bigots that they are. In either case, the end result will be the sort of peace that Israel maintains with Egypt. Now if we could just get the Arab nations to stop attacking Israel without billions of US dollars in bribes...JFK
Yeah, I think your assessment is pretty accurate. I'm as bewildered as everybody else as to the Administration's intentions, because, well, this just isn't going to work. And we all know that.
Thing is, it's going to come down to that, sooner or later. I suppose the assessment's that we/Bush/Sharon/Israel had to "try" are valid. But anybody with any logic or sense, reviewing the scenario in the PLO and, in the light of history, knows this is a charade.
Hey, I'm not some credentialed veteran foreign policy wonk, and I can see it coming. The "professionals" can't see how this will end up?
????
Ha! Yeah, that would solve that problem, huh? Unfortunately Israel, much like the US, has to contend with their more liberal elements in their society. Can't whack murderers without due process, then add in the "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter" relativistic ambiguity foisted on this particular scenario by the UN and EU and ... here we are. Terrorist prisoners with blood on their hands coerced and pressured into being released.
