EAGLE, Colorado (CNN) --Hearing NBA all-star Kobe Bryant deny the sexual assault charge filed against him made his accuser "sick to her stomach," a friend of the woman said Monday.
Bryant, an all-star guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, has been charged with one count of sexual assault. He has steadfastly maintained his innocence, and after the charge was announced Friday, he admitted having sex with his 19-year-old accuser but said the encounter was consensual.

"Hahaha, my ex took between 3 to 10 minutes to get the job done. "
ROFL, poor you.

To a lot (dare I say MOST) married people it IS "one strike and you're out". It takes a great deal of character (or co-dependancy) to overcome infidelity. Not counting threats of bodily harm if you try and take the kids and run.

My hunch is that he is innocent of the criminal charges in spite of his obvious moral failings. I would be the LAST person to try to put him away without a fair trial but the girl deserves her day in court. Unfortunately the deck is stacked against her due to the many that believe "he could never do anything like that" along with the million dollar lies being spun by headquarters.
The more I hear, the more I believe he is going down.

I think that's what makes these and "who-dun-it's" kind of fun ----obviously if all the facts were known, there'd be nothing to discuss.

I agree.

I do not know if he is a loving husband. There are many definitions of 'loving' but we can at least strike "faithful" from the list of words we were hearing prior to last Wednesday.

On that date, my hunch would have told me to believe Kobe.
However, much like the courts.....in my mind I ask if it is more likely or not on the non-criminal questions.....but I demand a much higher standard to conclude someone is guilty of a crime.
To: cinFLA
Come on, why don't you just admit it? You thought he was going, no wanted him, to take the fall from the get go.

but I demand a much higher standard to conclude someone is guilty of a crime. I agree. But the earlier item we were discussing was your 'hunch' that Kobe was innocent. One should not conclude he is guilty of a crime till after facts are resonably substantiated. However, to say one believes he is innocent has to require that one has made the decision that the girl is guilty of false accusations. Doesn't she also deserve the same benefit of doubt till the facts are presented?

The rumors and slurs are unbelievable. I expect next we will hear that Kobe couldn't satisfy her so she snapped and started after the bodyguards. There is something that I've wanted to say about Kobe Bryant and his sterling reputation. "Still waters run deep". I have experience dealing with someone who is an absolute saint and martyr at work, and Satan at home.

What bothers me is the alacrity with which supposed "rational" and thinking conservatives here on FR immediately extrapolate the specifics of this case, based on nothing more than their own internal prejudices. But this is news discussion --not just news. We read articles and then take them apart, some come up with more details, some just give opinions based on things they've experienced or seen. It's done everywhere --on news stations, work break rooms, around a campfire, at dinner tables. Sure much is speculation ---and we realize that. I kind of like reading what other people think ---whether or not they get get me to change my mind.

The discussion on these issues is often worthwhile. It is when there is a feverd rush to activism base upon misunderstanding that the site gets a little bewildering.

I have no idea about Kobe, I just know we see everyday something aweful and some of the first words we say are "How could he have done that" or "He just doesn't look the type". Enough to know to keep an open mind to the possibility.

"..... Plus, she waited 12 hours before notifying authorities." Tell me again....How many hours did Ted Kennedy need to sober up, talk to his lawyer and buy that hokey neck brace - before he called the Police to report he had drowned and abandoned Mary Jo in a submerged Oldsmobile?

Unless there is tape of a rape or a eye witness watching, that isn't possible.
I think the DA is way over his head.

I hope you don't tell your sons about this "implied consent" theory of yours-- they'll end up in the state pen for 10 years. I don't have any "implies consent" theories involving rape. You must have meant to reply to someone else.
