Partial transcription from a KRON-TV news report at 11:00 pm Saturday, July 19:
DAN KERMAN, KRON reporter (Voice-Over): Democrats have pledged that Davis will be the only Democrat on the ballot. But some think that plays right into the hands of Republicans. VAN JONES, "Police Watch" leftist activist: If the Democrats are going to stay stuck on stupid with Davis, who is a failed governor and hated by everybody, then they're asking the people of California to be in a suicide pact with them...
KERMAN (VO): That's why San Francisco activist Van Jones is pushing reformed Republican Arianna Huffington to run for the Democrats.
JONES: We need a progressive candidate on the ballot that people can vote for in case Governor Davis is turned out of office that can actually do good things for California. That's not Schwarzegger, that's Huffington.
KERMAN (On screen): So far, no word from Huffington, but it points to the fact that Democrats are not united. And that's something they need to be if they plan to keep a Democrat in the governor's office.
Earlier in this same report, footage of this totally unsupported statement by Nancy Pelosi was shown:
PELOSI: This is part of a national Republican agenda -- to achieve what they cannot win at the polls through other, other mischief.

I listened closely to the audio of this report, and indeed, reporter Dan Kerman DOES refer to Arianna Huffington as a "reform
ed Republican", not a
reform Republican.
The definition of the word "reformed" is simple and clear: "Changed for the better."
If you are so inclined, here's where you can contact the KRON news division: 4listens@kron4.com. Kerman's email is not listed on the KRON.com site.

She should run on a third party ticket for the Airheads. Well, they deserve representation just like everyone else, and who's more qualified than Arianna?
To: L.N. Smithee
Arianna is neither a conservative nor a Republican.
If ever given any real power I suspect she would be a fascist in practice.

"Dan Kerman DOES refer to Arianna Huffington as a "reformed Republican", not a reform Republican. " Arianna Huffington was never a conservative nor a Republican. She was/is a Greek socialist opportunist who has done some of the dirtiest undercover party infiltration in decades. One might have to go back to the 30's,40's, 50's to find a slug as slimy and well positioned.

undercover party infiltrationAnd yet it's hard to tell whose side she's really shilling for.
Remember, she pushed Warren Beatty's candidacy in 2000, helping to splinter the far left.
Personally, I can't stand her accent. I've known many Greeks and none of them are as unintelligible as Ms. Huffington.
She sounds like Kissinger on helium.

Even Barbara Boxer is more intelligent than Adrianna Huffington.

Wow, Boxer and Huffington.
There's a definite two-headed nickel toss-up.

Wow, Boxer and Huffington. There's a definite two-headed nickel toss-up. You said it. As for who's smarter: initially, you would have to give it to Boxer for at least knowing for sure that the man she married was a heterosexual. On the other hand, Arianna was just another new-age guru with an unpronounceable surname before she became the trophy of a closeted oil billionaire with delusions of grandeur. Now, she's filthy rich, available, and a well-known pundit.
I don't know if that would be a two-headed nickel. Sounds more to me like a two-tailed nickel.

Please let her run. I want her to lose but a debate between Schwarzeneggar and Huffington would be priceless.
The accents...just think of it...maybe Kissinger could serve as moderator.

I want her to lose but a debate between Schwarzeneggar and Huffington would be priceless. This recall election is starting to look more like the Academy Awards. Californians need to vote for the best person to get them out of their mess rather than their favorite celebrity.

Arianna is like a white Sharpton. Full of hot air, and her ideas/views don't make any sense except to the seriously deranged.

is pushing reformed Republican Arianna Huffington to run for the Democrats. The only way Huffinkpuff is a "reformed Republican" is if you could say "she was a Republican but became and dimocRat". Maybe her views were "reformed" that way. She is not, and was not, a conservative. Listen to her liberal rantings.
