"I'm going to help him as much as he helped me," George Deukmejian said about Riordan. Republican Deukmejian was governor from 1983 to 1991. Riordan had contributed $500,000 to Democrat Tom Bradley, who lost to Deukmejian. "I don't respect him," Deukmejian continued. "I don't have any respect for the way he has conducted himself politically. He tries to be all things to all people."

Arnold will run and he'll win. Even IF Feinstein or Panetta run. When has a celebrity ever LOST an office?

Pat Paulson never won the presidency. And Cooter was voted out of office.

What happened to no Democrat running except Davis.
Seem the rats are fleeing the ship as it sinks.

Dems might vote for Arnie in droves---CERTAINLY over Panetta.Panetta is a pathetic political grifter.

Pat Paulson...Who is that? Never heard of him.
_
And Cooter...
I have only heard of him referred to by Newt Gingrich as a "weird left wing actor." What movie or television show he was associated with, I haven't a guess.
To: ambrose
Pat Paulsen was never a serious candidate. He ran on an independent party and it was his schtick, he was a comedian and was never serious about running.
Cooter is someone I'm not familiar with, but Ronald Reagan and Fred Grundy (who was famous on a tv show) I am.

Lessee, "Gopher" from the "Love Boat" lost his run, and the woman who played Mr. Drysdale's secretary, Nancy Culp, lost her race. Heck, I lost my race for dog catcher. What does that tell you :)

But Nancy Kulp, a lesbian lost because Buddy Ebsen, the bigger star and Republican took out ads against her!
Gopher did win for quite a number of years though (see my post above).
And, LS, what about you, well, you could try and run again :)

Just joking. I couldn't get elected class monitor, because I am too honest, and would tell the people exactly what I thought, not what they wanted to hear. I couldn't raise a dime!

If either Panetta or Feinstein run, they will be the next governor, unless the GOP field drops to one in a hurry, and even then they would be odds on favorites.
