All I know is some girl said he assaulted her. He says he didn't.
I have no further particulars, and don't really need them either.

You "hope he fares well"? I hope he fairs exactly as he should: if innocent, exonerated; if guilty as charged, sentence maximized. Geez, ya think it's possible that the girl's the victim, and not Kobe?
To: dennisw
my guess is whatever occurred was 100% consensual. When he was "finished", Kobe tossed her out, which pissed her off to no end. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Kobe and his wife issued statements: admit adultery.........deny the rest.
Kobe: "I have to answer to my wife and to God."

Why did it take them 17 days to come up with charges? Should they not have known the day the girl reported it and was examined whether the evidence was enough for a charge?Oh, I would think testing physical evidence for DNA to verify and doing interviews and such would account for the time.
I would think they would take into consideration the possibility that the victim was making a false charge and seeking publicity for its own sake. Obviously the DA has considered, investigated and discarded that possibility and now it will be up to a jury to see if he can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. Unless Bryant cops a plea.

Has it been confirmed exactly why police visited her house twice in the last few months? That would seem to be key, since it is now his word against her(consensual). I am far from convinced that he is guilty.
But if true, maybe he can move to Arkansas and run for governor.

whats a class 3 felony? They base it on penis size. There goes another stereotype.

Three words maybe....D....N....A....That's only two words - deoxyribonucleic acid - but what's one word between friends?

We have been through this here in Cincinnati with the Bengals being accused of gang raping a woman. She was seen with them he next day having breakfast and laughing.
Athletes are targets of this stuff. And the women get protection from day one as victims with out having proven it in court.

So a if your charged with a crime your automatically guilty If you can find those words anywhere in my post, then I'll own up to that. If not, I'll expect a full and groveling apology, jackass. I said Kobe didn't seem like the type to do that. I expressed surprise that he's been charged. Nothing more.

This is the county where Vail is -- believe me they have money. As a matter of fact about 10 years ago, they were going to spend the money necessary to put a canopy over I-70 in the vail valley because it was a "eye sore" in the Vail valley. These people have more dollars than sense...

Get Real. Class 3 felony will be pled down to class 1 misdemeanor, no jail time, 40 hours community service, 150.00 fine, and 2 yrs probation, and some mandatory "relationship" counseling.
You heard it FIRST here!
