Do you believe accountability of government elected officials should be suspended in time of war or otherwise? Do you belive that reading comprehension is a vital tool in digesting information, and would have helped you determine that nowhere in this exercise of an active duty military member is freedom of speech implicated?

Do you believe Freedom of Speech should be suspended in times of war? It's not about freedom, it's about accountability. They are free to say what they say but if it gets people killed they should face the consequences.
Giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war is treason. you can be executed for that.

No, but it seems to me that they have no regard for the effects of their words. If our guys are really in there for the wrong reason then we should do everything we can to get the job finished correctly and get our troops out before dismantiling a Presidency with flaming rhetoric.

Do you believe Freedom of Speech should be suspended in times of war? No, but they are only being held accountable for placing their party above their country.

Do you believe Freedom of Speech should be suspended in times of war?I will use a dimocRatic technique for my answer, answering with a question. Do you believe that the military rules are the same as civilian rules? Can the soldier quit, badmouth everyone in his chain of command, demand the location and hours of his/her employment? (The answer is that there is a difference between soldiers and non soldiers.)In other words, I can talk about my work, my location, my hours etc and it does not threaten national security. See the difference?

Do you believe Freedom of Speech should be suspended in times of war?Are you the one who yelled, "Fire!" in the crowded theater? Are you the one they had to remind that loose lips sink ships?
Yes, we have Freedom of Speech, but we also have the old saying sticking feet in mouths. Yes, all the bickering and whining are endangering our troops. It's not helping their morale but is certainly giving the terrorists a huge boost. The terrorists have found the chink in our armour and with just a few sneaky attacks they can on the whole sit back and watch us do ourselves in, which the RATS and CNN are doing quite successfully. It's just proving to them we're weak.

Do you believe Freedom of Speech should be suspended in times of war?Accountability for accuracy of fact is not exempted under first amendment rights. If distortions and inflamatory rhetoric cause American troops to get killed, then speakers should be accountable for their actions

Freedom of speech requires responsibility for what you say - Freedom of speech does not say YOU CAN SAY ANY DAMN THING YOU WANT ANYTIME - if that were true, why can't you yell FIRE in a crowded room ..?? Because it would cause a panic!
Soooo ... being responsible says you will not yell fire in a crowded theater.
However, TREASONOUS speech - is that which gives aid and comfort to YOUR ENEMY. If Saddam is quoting what the democratss are saying - they have committed treason - again!!!!! And ... they have proven Ann Coulter right one more time.

Freedom of speech of course should not be suspended. However, flat out lies, demoralizing our troops and administration for political gain thereby giving aid and comfort to the enemy is against the law. The framers most likely didn't ever once suspect elected officials and the press would put their thirst for power above the good of the nation. And neither did I!

Freedom of speech should be curtailed in time of war. Loose lips sink ships. One has no right to aid and abet the enemy.

"Do you believe Freedom of Speech should be suspended in times of war?" When Saddam starts quoting from the Dimms' talking points to rev up his supporters to kill our soldiers, I think it's fair to ask "is this freedom of speech, or is it aid and comfort to the enemy?"
Besides, if freedom of speech knew no limits---we'd be able to yell "fire" in a crowded theater.
