[history]
WASHINGTON, July 17 (UPI) -- The latest Harris Poll shows President Bush has lost some, but not all, of the popularity gained as a result of the Iraq war victory.
President Bush's positive rating, which surged to 70 percent in April, has now fallen nine points to 61 percent.

Now for the bias (yes, left bias in the Washington Times, due to it being a wire piece from UPI). The whole article is centered about how Bush's poll numbers are in decline.
What was Bush's approval rating the last time Harris ran this poll, back in early June?
61 percent- same as here.
There was no change in Bush's ratings noted, even with the media drumbeat on Yellowcake. This fits in with the pattern I noted here and here. The media myth is that la affair de yellowcake has cost Bush 10 points in the polls. The reality is, it has cost him very little in the polls.

You would think that somewhere in this article, UPI would have mentioned that this number is unchanged since the last time the poll was conducted.
But then that would not have fit with the type of story the writer wanted to write.

So the thrill of seeing our military kick butt is wearing off...and the real work of getting Iraq on it's feet is difficult and tedious work and not exactly made for TV entertainment.
America is bored with Iraq and Bush's war numbers are dropping.
But another poll shows his approval on the economy is UP. Interesting!

Did you see Tony Snow report this evening that the Washington Post was lying (surprise) about their poll results? They wanted everyone to believe that the country was losing faith in the war effort, and it was the complete opposite. Thank God for the internet so we can spread the truth.

Who are these cretins who undermine the morale of our troops?Politics is one thing but when it comes to sabotaging our mission in Iraq with people in harms way..it is disloyal to our country and that's the way I feel.

Ann Coulter made me uncomfortable with her flame throwing..I'm reading her book and understanding why we must fight fire with fire sometimes. This Dem created firestorm is an example. The media are aiders and abetters.

Why are you worrying about poll numbers? RATS watch the poll numbers. Klintoon watched the polls.
Our President leads. We should support him.
To: HostileTerritory
Who said I worry over them? Far from it.
