I stumbled across this perversion last night. Sickening. I couldn't take it for more than a minute or two.

(Gallic shrug of the shoulders) "Eh! So? Like they say, 'All brooms sweep clean when they're new.' Let's see the ratings once the novelty wears off...say after 5 or 6 episodes.

I knew it was a hit the minute I heard the title a few weeks back. The show satisfies a gay fantasy and a female fantasy. The increased tolerance in American culture for gay men among straight men makes the fulfillment of the fantasy feasible for the first time.
It's a progression -- or a slide several degrees down the slippery slope, depending on your point of view -- whose time has come.

Yeah, but these are cable ratings. 1.6 million ain't beans.
You may never think the same way about your tailor.

Just wait.
When the ratings dip, they'll end the show by having a caged death match between the straight guy and the queens.
You think I'm joking?

We now know with some certainty that there are less than 1.64 million homosexuals in the U.S.

I never understood why gays are so anal about fashion.

set new ratings records for cable channel BravoYeah, new ratings for Bravo. That's not saying much, overall. The Dune miniseries set records for the SciFi Channel, but that is still not the standard when compared to the ratings of other networks.

I also have to wonder how many people tuned in to laugh AT, not with, the swishy girly-men.

Humor is a way to make something formerly intolerable tolerable.
Beware...there IS such a thing as perversion. And it's not only child molestors.

We used to troll with gay guys. The girls loved them and well, we were there to soothe their broken hearts.

It was bad? If I had cable, I'd watch it. I think the concept is funny. Besides, it's high time that every time you see a well-dressed and groomed guy you're not correct in assuming that he is gay. American men with those cruddy looking backwards baseball caps and baggy t-shirts could use a little fashion sense.

We used to troll with gay guys. The girls loved them I once asked my sister why she had so many gay male friends. She stopped for a second, then said, "They like women better."

Speaking of Dune, that wretched early 80s version was on last night.
