It's going to help the peace efforts alright. You know why? Cause terrorism will get more money and will increase, and the "peace" efforts, which are blind to terrorism, will continue.

Eventually the palestinians will have to be bought off. The permanent way is to get their economic system functioning so well that they would not dream of disrupting it. There is probably a breakpoint above which they can continue to develop on their own, but wherever the breakpoint is, they are nowhere near it now. It's a long, hard road ahead for them, but if they can see the way ahead, they will do as all people do and get to work.

100 million euros ($112 million) in aid to PA
Wouldn't that qualify as aid to terrorists?
What happened to either you are with us or your with the terrorists?

So - the question begs to be asked -
How many suicide bombs can be built with 100 million Euros?

Outstanding! Now a representative from PA can go to Russia to check the latest line of assault vehicles at the Russian Closeout Lot. Great for the economy, great for population control, and really incredibly stupid on the part of the EU.

How many suicide bombs can be built with 100 million Euros?Approximate breakdown: 50 million would end up in Arafat's Swiss bank account. 5 million each for Dahlan, Abu Mazen, Tirawi. 5 million kickback money to Chiraq. 5 million for Kassam rocket manufacturing. 4 million nobody would ever find. This leaves 1 million for homicide bombers.

Add on the 200 million the US is going to give to update the PA security forces and we have a pretty good nest egg for Abbass to play with.

This will never happen. Due to the Paleostinian population explosion in an arid part of the world. The land cannot carry such numbers. Demographics will outpace, render irrelevant any well intentioned development schemes. And that's assuming the Paleostinians come into it with a good attitude. Which they won't because Islam and Jihad are anti development and have a grip on their psyche

Islam and Jihad are anti development and have a grip on their psyche That's how it looks from here. Someone, a totalitarian power, has hijacked their language, Arabian. It's so bad that everything they say comes out jihad and they can no longer reason. We could probably help them out of this linguistic pit of their own making, but we would have to learn Arabian, or get them to drop the language altogether and start over with something else. They have to become aware of the prison their language has become. We can see it, but obviously they won't accept our advice. They'll have to do it themselves.

Just send it straight to Hamas, that way Afarat doesn't skin any off the top of the intended purpose the Europeans send it for which is, of course, the destruction of Israel.

As you say. Moreover, no possible amount of aid can build an economy if the people aren't willing. The Arab world as squandered billions of dollars in oil income, and still the gross national product of all the Arab nations put together is miniscule. Thriving free economies and populations of Muslim Arabs are simply incompatible.

When you subtract oil exports, all the exports of Arab nations are less than Finland's.

The interesting part of this will be to see how much money Arafart and his cronies are willing to part with to leave for the terrorists.
