It's not one under for 17, it's TWO OVER FOR THE ROUND.

Here is what you said:

barely manages to hold it together for the rest of the round.

That is what I responded to. Trying to change the subject will not make you any less of an idiot. Players rarely lose balls at the British Open. Tiger got supremely unlucky and he dealt with it, because he is a champion. If you knew ANYTHING about the British Open, you would know that.

One major makes a great career for most players. Ask Phil Mickelson or Colin Montgomery. But, again, stop trying to change the subject. Where I disagree with you was your contention, after one bad hole, that Woods should pack it in for the season. That was an idiotic conclusion born from ignorance.

That's what I said and I stick by it. He put himself in a big hole with his first shot and for the next 17 managed to keep the hole from getting bigger but didn't manage to make much progress getting out. Not a bad feat, but nothing to brag about. Ending the round 5 behind the lead isn't dealing with it, you need to learn the difference between swimming and treading water. He treaded, which given how he started marks improvement, but he didn't swim. He's 5 strokes off and the placements are only going to get harder.
