A controversy has erupted over a twisted new Las Vegas game in which armed players in camouflage hunt down naked young women with paintball guns - and even have sex with them after the chase. The creators of "Hunting for Bambi" charge up to $10,000 per participant for the "thrill" of chasing showgirls, who are nude except for sneakers, and blasting them with red dye.

"It says something about the men who want to play this game and something about the financial climate that drives women to participate."

Note the not-so-subtle dig at the economic situation here. You see, this is all George Bush's fault.

It is also interesting that the women, who voluntarily participate and are well compensated for doing so, are merely victims.

Yeah like you'd take advice from somebody else. We all know what quality of patient doctors make. I recommend tacking one of those car pinetrees to your nose.

"but there are no vicitms in this story."

Society as a whole is the 'victim'.

Bah, this is old stuff.

I used to coach a bunch of 13 year olds in a Little League team. One night I get a call from one of my players, who informs me that he and several other members of the team are in jail. Seems they were driving around the red light district with an older school buddy, shooting at the hookers with a paintball gun. Well, OK, they weren't naked.

They thought that calling me would keep the parents from finding out. It took some influential intervention just to keep it off the front page.

Maybe, just maybe, the rest of the players on the PGA Tour are a heck of a lot better than you have been giving them credit for?

I don't see how the other players could make Tiger triple bogie and finish the first round at +2. It's not like he's getting old fashioned Tiger scores and losing, then I'd have to give credit to the other players, he's just not playing up to his level this year.

It really isn't fair unless the men have to be naked too, and the women get to shoot back! A few shots to the jewels would most likely put the kabosh on the whole game.

Nope. He's won four times in six or seven entries. He's fine. That's golf. Most events are played at much tougher venues than the one in Texas.

After a string of how many bad losses? And how's he done in the majors which are supposed to be his primary focus?

His game is off.

See that's the root of your problem. You are not really a golf fan (which is ok) so you don't really appreciate what Tiger has accomplished. You think you do, but you don't. And he may end up winning the Open for all we know at this early stage. But there are way too many good players on Tour to think it is unusual for him to go a year without winning a Major. There are too many unconrollable variables involved.

I'm enough of a fan to know that he's been playing for crap since last year's British Open and early indications are he's not breaking the curse, everybody else in the sports world says he's in a slump, you and Tiger are the only ones in denial. The problem isn't him going a year without winning a major, it's him going a year withou having a chance of winning a major. Tied for 15th and +2 at the Masters. Tied for 20th and +3 at the US. That's not the rest of the field catching up, that's Tiger falling behind. If it was tied for 15th and MINUS 2 and tied for 20TH and MINUS 3 I could say the rest of the tour is catching up.

Sorry but that is just not true. He won the last tournament he entered, the Western Open, by five strokes. He's fine. It is just much harder to win a Major than you seem to think.

Again, according to Tiger himself his focus is the majors and the other tournaments are just for practice. At the majors he's sucking eggs, even at some of the other events he's blowing chunks. If a guy says "these are the events that are important to me" and he completely sucks in those events he's obviously not on his game.
