LOS ANGELES -- Cameron Diaz is seeking an injunction barring the release of photographs taken at a private modeling session over a decade ago, before she was a star.
In the lawsuit, the 30-year-old "Charlie's Angels" star claims she didn't sign a photo release and that a release produced by the photographer is a forgery, her publicist, Brad Cafarelli, said Tuesday. He wouldn't describe the nature of the pictures.
Photographer John Rutter told the syndicated news program "Inside Edition" he had contacted Diaz's lawyers to offer them the photos before he sold them to any media outlets.
"This was a negotiation for a right of first refusal with Cameron Diaz's lawyers," Rutter said in a statement to "Inside Edition." "A few hours after her lawyers offered to buy the photos my place was raided."
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office confirmed Tuesday that investigators searched Rutter's Venice apartment as part of a continuing investigation.
"Our office executed search warrants on June 30 involving an incident where Cameron Diaz is the alleged victim," said spokeswoman Jane Robison.
She declined to provide further details. No charges have been filed against Rutter. He couldn't be reached by The Associated Press for comment Tuesday.
There were few details available as to the contents of the photographs, but Rutter described them as "beautiful," "Inside Edition" reported. Rutter said he took the photographs well before Diaz's big break in the 1994 film "The Mask."

Sure she has a right to a mistake. And as mistakes go, this on'es pretty harmless really. But I just have to wonder why women are dumb enough to keep doing this again and again. Grow a brain, ladies. If it's something you don't want the world to see, then maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place. If it's too late, then just hold your held up and learn from your mistake. No one can take your dignity from you unless you let them.

At the risk of being a kill-joy, how many of we ladies have let our spouses take (ahem) candid photos of us with their polaroid cameras over the years?

Maybe in some other career. Hollywood is all about selling out, especially for women.

When I had a body that would look that good, Polaroid cameras hadn't been invented yet! ;-)When my wife first found out she was pregnant she put on her bikini and I took her picture. We did this every month until our son was born. Towards the end the bottom didn't show up much at all. In fact we had to position her so you could see it.
Since that time she's gotten back to her beautiful figure and we've been married for 32 years. She still turns my head when she walks by.

I got my first Polaroid Swinger instant camera in 1966. That means you've gone a long time without a "body that would look that good". I'm sorry to hear that. (|)= I'm showin my butt. ;)

Proof, we demand proof. Where's the evidence? Deceit is a five letter word, you know. And there's a thread about the risk of prostate cancer and, oh, never mind.
