as i speak, we are more than 22 inches over normal for an entire year. AND it rained for 11 straight weekends this spring.

i've, to date, lost over four hundred bucks ($ 400.00) on charter boat reservations, which are not refundable, because the weather was too bad to take the boat out.

can you say MILDEWED children??? sure you can.

Boy, oh boy! I do wish you could divert some of your rain to us. We are severely under normal. Over normal is one thing, BUT 22"???? My goodness! Best wishes for you staying dry for a while.

we would LIKE to send you some!

also, the GRASS in our backyard DROWNED from being under water for over a MONTH (the ground in our subdivision is relatively flat and the ground being saturated, the water just stood there. at one point the water was about 4-6 inches deep.);i had to replant it about 6 weeks ago.

FYI, my beloved is NOT happy about the 400 bucks "that you wasted" on the charter boat fiasco!

"Non-refundable" for weather related "no-go" seems a tad off. There would seem to be no cost for the charter folks. Was your beloved scheduled to go with you? Hmmmm...an "act of God" is out of your control. LOL! Hope you get your charter eventually.

Good grief, that's a lot of standing water! I can imagine trying to explain grass that drowned.

the contract available around here for most/all charter boats states that "reservations fees are NON-refundable for any reason whatsoever".to paraphrase POGO possom: "you pays yo money & takes yo chances".

YEP, she wanted to go and usually OUT-fishes me!
