This little bluebird has been to 'your' mailbox. :)
I hope this graphic shows - it took three tries to get it to open for me. :( I'm ready for this to quit happening.

Mornin' Hostesses and Fluffy.
Great story this morning, dutchess.
He just walks beside my husband and gazes at him all the time."
Sounds just like Jack. Must be something about being rescued that causes these critters to form that bond. Broke his heart to be left in a kennel while we were gone on vacation. He's forgiven us, but those sad eyes when we dropped him off caused a few moments of, "Aw, maybe we should take him with us."

You and Gizmutt have wonderful instincts when it comes to finding interesting pet stories, dutchess!

Isn't The Finest blessed with some really great regulars?
These persons clear the skies and flight paths ahead of us - give us coffee and biscuits and gravy and doughnuts and music for the day's journeys!!
'Tis spoiled we are, and lovin' it!

What a wonderful story! Although, I might need a new keyboard after my tears have shorted it out....
Even with the happy ending, I still cried. I'm an old softy for these stories.

I do a
daily thread at our Chapter forum and I know how tough it is getting folks to visit every day. I had guest hosts for 2 weeks in June, otherwise it has been mine everyday for a year or so. Whew!

Oh, I didn't know the Houston Chapter had a daily forum - thanks for showing it to us. (Yep - hard to keep up at different forums - I hardly have time to even read other threads at FR, let alone another forum) :)

Great article about Fluffy. I think this calls for a follow-up by Gizmo so we can get the rest of the story.

Notice the similarity of a rescued pet and what God did for us through the sacrifice of His Son?

"Operation Free Fluffy." A wonderful, touching story! Thank you, dutchess and Billie. Gave me the warm-fuzzies. I love animal stories, especially the ones about our devoted canine friends.
Good morning all. Hope everyone has a pleasant day and that our Texas friends came through the storm okay.
Hugs all around!
To: Diver Dave
Hi, Dave - I think you may be right. From reading the posts here each week on Pet Day, it's amazing how many of us have adopted throw-away pets, and how much love they need, but also have to give.

Do you think you could get me Fluffy's number? I've always had a "thing" for military men.
I think I'm in love!
