Do We Detect a Pattern Here?

"Several candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination spoke out yesterday. Rep. Richard A. Gephardt (D-Mo.) said Bush's 'factual lapse' cannot be easily dismissed 'as an intelligence failure.' He said the president 'has a pattern of using excessive language in his speeches and off-the-cuff remarks' which 'represents a failure of presidential leadership.' "--Associated Press

"Amid questions about the president's justification for war against Iraq, [John Kerry] the Massachusetts senator [who by the way served in jail] plans to question Bush's credibility next week by citing a pattern of deception on national security and domestic issues, aides said."--Associated Press

"What troubles me is not that single episode, but the broader pattern of dishonesty and delusion that helped get us into the Iraq mess."--Nicholas Kristof, New York Times

"The case of the bogus uranium purchases wasn't an isolated instance. It was part of a broad pattern of politicized, corrupted intelligence."--former Enron adviser Paul Krugman, New York Times

"I think the American people are aware this administration has engaged in a pattern of deceit."--Dennis Kucinich

I could never figure out how the tablets come to have Roman numerals. Even ones I see with hebrew text are often enumerated by a language yet to be.

"Pattern" is their new mantra. It's time to laugh at them, like we did "Gravitosh."
Make fools out of them.
Pass it on about "pattern" to people you know, so they'll be sure to listen for it.

Haven't seen MRC pick this up yet, but I saw Today this morning. Katie was ranting about WMDs and Uranium again. Here was her line (slightly paraphrased), "So, is the administration going to continue with the-british-told-us-to-do-it defense eventhough it's not working?"

He said the president 'has a pattern of using excessive language in his speeches...

Wow, that's one heck of an improvement from 2000. Back then, I'd swear they said he had a pattern of mispronouncing words, flubbing grammar, and speaking plainly and simply, because he was a dunce. Now he uses excessive language.

Way to go, George!!

The American people don't care. It's time to move on.

That's what Reagan did. He said his piece, and moved on.
If the left got really kookie, he'd say :" Well......there they go again" . He made them look like the idiots they are. He was very good.
He rose above them, right where he belonged. Bush should do the same. He doesn't need to lower himself to their level.

Yeah, sure. I find it laughable that the libs have latched onto this one-liner on the thinnest of premises while the media (including the Washington Times) had nothing to say when Bill Clinton proclaimed loudly that "there are no nuclear missiles pointed at America's children" when they knew it was a straight-up lie. It's okay for Mr. Nuclear Proliferation himself (Klinton) to lie, but the tiniest inkling of an error by Bush is seized upon as a lie. I still can't believe that even FoxNews is piling on like this. /rant off

Waiting for a poll that asks if the democrats are using the 'yellow cake' issue for political gain. My guess is that 90% won't even know what that is and 85% won't know about the Iraqi's trying to buy uranium from Africa.

Time for Dubya to say he's said all he's going to say as the FACTS speak for themselves.

The first 15 minutes of the today show is spent bashing Bush by katy.We turn the t.v.off and turn it back on 30 minutes past the first hour.By that time she has cooled her heels a little bit.

They're a news program. There's not much else to talk about right now. Don't worry. They're slowley bringing out the truth just to keep the story alive and fill space until another story breaks about something important.
They know it's a non-event, but what else are they going to talk about?

Well they believe that GW is the dumbest president ever.

So we have to be the dumbest voters on earth to have voted for him and supported him.

Good, let the elite socialist hacks continue to think that way.

I am not sure how much more of this I can stand! all of this is over nothing! The feeding frenzy is just amazing. The media didn't go this wild over Monica. The President's approval ratings are going down. How can people actually fall for this when clearly he did not lie?

a pattern of deception
the broader pattern of dishonesty
a pattern of deceit.

What I don't understand is that the leftists keep talking about this 'pattern', but they can't even prove one single instance.

And according to how he is falling in the polls this deception is working. I just want to take over the airwaves kind of like the emergency broadcasts do and repeat what he actually said over and over until the idiots shutup with the damnable lie they are telling!

Because not everyone does a google and research for the correct information like Freepers do

The public trusts the media to not have an agenda and to print/report the truth

Pretty sad that the media abuses that trust

What do you make of all those "patterns" out there?

It's long been known that the DNC maintains a computerized fax system with talking points. They think one up and the next morning it is in the NYT. Then the morning talk shows and then the papers that subscribe to the NYT news service. Happens about 50 zillion times a year.
