That was what was report by Fox. He chose not to re-enlist when his active duty was over.
No one knows who is lying here but according to reports yesterday the girl's parents did not become alarmed until she did not return home at midnight. That is not a normal curfew time for someone that young. And I would think they might find some healthier pursuits for her than allowing her to surf the net for 11 hours a day, as was reportd.

it is likely that the Marine simply told her that there was no way he was going to leave the airport with her so she went home.
Or vice versa. She might have been expecting a lonely 14-year-old, only to find a 31-year-old ex-Marine with a history of criminal sexual misconduct.
Too early to draw any conclusions.
